  1. Kudos to him. I'll bet that pup would make a loyal friend for life. If you can put up with their yapping, Beagles are very good companions.

I had one once upon a time. Captain Billy Whizbang was his name. Good dog that seldom made a peep, and he was full blooded.

Otherdog do you now have another good ol dog at your house?

  2. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Tell me you're kidding!!!!!!!!

You should never use a non detergent oil in any engine!!!

That stuff is strictly for "oil can" lubrication.

Regarding the OP's question, any reputable brand 15w40 diesel engine oil will work just fine in that 673.

Aw Man and I thought I had my work all caught up for the weekend, Now I have over due oil changes to do. That is what I get for running off at the keyboard, any way thanks for the heads up Block

  3. Hey Double Diamond, ain't heard from you in a long time! As for your question, I don't know. I had my oil changed at a garage that does a lot of truck work, but when I drove it home it was a gallon low, so I put a gallon of Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer in it because I didn't know what kind of oil they used.

I use SAE 30 non detergent

  4. Thank you for the faith and inspiration. I'm going to pull it off this weekend and get it apart to see. The radiator is scheduled into the shop Monday morning for final evaluation and integrity, and I've purchased all new belts, thermostats, seals, and gasket material to get the cooling system in decent shape. Since running six gallons of muratic acid, (80% water, 20% acid) and repeatedly flushing, the drain water is now clear and not rusty. The heater works well in the cab also. I plan to flush it once more with clean water/neutralizer, then refilling with 50/50 mix of green coolant/distilled water. Should be the end of that for a couple of years!

Rob I had a similar problem with the water pump on one of my endt 865's about 3 years ago the seal and pin were both available from Mack at that time. I built a small puller for the impeller and done the work myself, the only thing the seal is made out of ceramic and it is very easy to break and cause a leak ( The voice of experience here I changed the seal twice) hope this helps Block

  5. Rigchaser, I just wanted to let you know that I am still going to get your photos, I went out to the truck the other day to take the photos batteries were dead on camera bought some new ones did not look real close they are the kind you recharge, yea they were dead too, went back to store the next day bought charger need to get in camera and gete this done sorry for delay. Block. Also with a name like rigchaser and pic. on your font you move oilfield equipment? I do too these CLs are rigged up as winch trucks.

  6. That truck is a B-61 with the big radiator, this was available on most if not all of the diesel B-Models, I have seen a B-67 with the big radiator from the factory. If you watch the show again you will notice the rear facing hood scoop this idea was borrowed from the early maxidyne series R-Models etc. as the air intake for the tip turbine engines, and if you look close during the shots of installing the new A/C system you will see a tip turbine engine upgrade, making need for the bigger radiator to cool this setup in a work truck. Block

  7. I do not know for sure because it is hard to see but I think this truck is a B-61 with the optional big radiator, or it could also be a B-615 with the wrong emblem and no V-8 emblem, If Superdog or the Ol Fuzzy Buzzard can shed some more light on this,if you look at the picture of the dash the firewall looks flat like a B-615 instesd of the protruding doghouse that the B-61s have. What does everyone think? Block.

  8. I have the following Mack parts for sale, 2 TRQ 7220 transmissions both have problems take 2 to make 1 maybe 1 TRD 67 good transmission 1 R-Model cab nearly comlpete airride factory air no doors no rust 2 R-Model hoods 1 for RB? goes with cab 1 R-600? both are nice hoods

  9. The information that I have lists the ratios on the double overdrive transmissions as follows the trt(l) 720 has overdrive ratios as follows 5 direct is 0.84 and 5 over is 0.69. The ratios on the trt(l) 7220 are 5 direct is 0.84 and 5 over is 0.70 hope this helps Block
