  1. One last question. Would say that a stock 500 would run better with the aneroid valve hooked or unhooked. I have seen some mixed reveiw on this site. I know it would rev each gear out quicker but how about top gear on a hard pull.
  2. Thanks for the info. Your truck run hot with them pump tweaks and injectors and stock turbo? As far as egt and water temp.

  4. i tried to find in the past forums but couldn't find anything. i am looking for the correct boost pressure for a stock e9 500hp. truck has just had valve job on one head. plus i found alot of leaks in the charge air so we changed that, also had the injectors rebuilt. it currently runs between 24-27psi. is the truck running at full 500hp?note all leaks in the intake are fixed. also the turbo is smooth and tight.

  6. The more I look at that picture above that visor really looks good on there. Would that be a stick on or is there drilling required?

  8. I sure would like to get a set a fender guards. And the hooded light bezels. I'm on the fence with the visor tho. Are these things bought for this truck or are they fabbed to work?
  9. I seen a couple of superliners with chrome drop visors running around. Are people retro fitting these visors on? Or is there a secret spot where you can buy these?
  10. Hello guys. Anybody know where to get chrome superliner accessories these days? I did a google search and all I come up with is chrome parts for kenworth and peterbilt. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  11. Pressure plate could be stuck to the flywheel. Have somebody push the clutch pedal and See if it's disengaging.
  12. I got ahold of penn diesel they said they would order the topend set. And some other trinkets. Hopefully they it don't take too long.

  14. Thanks for the reply. The truck really doesn't run hard that often. I've been noticing that ita not been making full boost down 5-7 psi thought it might a been the charge air but normal smoke,but the truck hasn't been pullin like it normally did. Then the valve went. I tried looking up pai dealers on there website but I can't find nothing. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks 24vman.

  16. Hello everyone. A month ago my truck dropped a valve on the exhaust side, we got it all torn down. Now I am trying to get the parts I need to put it back together and I just can't seem to find a good outlet for parts. Seems like nobody wants to be bothered. So anybody know of good outlet for e9 parts. The truck is a 85 superliner 500hp. I appreciate any and all info. Thanks.

  18. is that sensor supposed to be bottomed out or will the threads make it stop where its supposed to be? cab is as dry as a bone.. havent had much rain ether.
  19. , we;ve thrown parts at it according to the codes. since i switched out the fic and ecm i'm only down to one code which is 3-5, which i can only think the injection pump is worn inside, thats could be screwing up the timing, as the truck has 475k on it and i don't think the pump has ever been off.
  20. do you kow what size pump you installed, what mm plungers? did the pump shop have to change parts to get the feul needed to make that hp? how did you go about finding injectors for a mack? i can beleive someone has actually done it, i thought i was gonna be the only one lol. stax i'll check out the connections make sure they are clean and try it again. i appreciate the info everyone. thanks
  21. I've been pondering that with the injectors but they are both mech pumps, where one only has an electroning gov and the other doesnt. It would nice if someone on here has done this before to get an idea how to go about this.
  22. well i got a bosch 7100 pump from an em7 but with 300hp, am going to send it to get rebuilt. the 454 has 12mm plungers and so does the the mech pump,when thepump goes on what is the correct timeing then? is there any specs i can give the pump shop to they can match the fuel and get correct horse power out of the truck? has this been done before or has anyone heard of it being done before? thanks
  23. has the truck been sittin long before you got it? ours sat for two years before we bought it then spent 6 hours idling waiting for a truck to haul it to our yard.. it had noticable blow by out the breather and also the oil seepin from from every exhaust connection. once we went over it,taged it, and ran it, its been fine ever since with alot less blow by, cant even notice it. my absolute favorite truck.
