  1. This is a spammer feeling out the forum...I can tell by the email address!

I left it up though cause you guys gave some good advice!

You hit the spammer right on the head. I was just reading Rec.Gambling Poker (usenet) and came across the exact same post. Could it be that there are others in this world that enjoy both trucks and poker? :D

  2. Used is the way to go in the dump trucking business in fack I think its the only way unless you have some kind of great account, I work in new york, mostly asphalt I'm very lucky if can get 140 days a year. at 640 a day you do the math!!

  3. Does anyone remember pictures of a big M Model Mack from New York that was in mint condition...it was red and white. I think the owner was Gerosa Const or something like that? I am looking for some pics of their trucks. I would appreciate any contact info or photos if you have them...

Barry, I think this may be what you are looking for:http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/mark_simiele02.htm

  4. hey did you save that link to the tranny info before the web page stopped working?..every time I try to go to www.oldmacksrus.com and go to info area, it has only a empty box with a red x in it next to the b model stuff. ie cab info, trans inf etc..if you click on the empty box no info comes up. The only info I am able to read is the photos page, and the links page...the link you posted above works ..but I don't know why it works..as I used to visit that page often, a few years back..i wanted to look up stuff for my mack and was upset when it wouldn't work. I figured that the web page was down...but when you posted a link that works,.. I scratched my head..any one know if its down or what?

    Thanks

Page worked fine for me at 1:40pm

  5. Wish I had one of those in my back yard.I've seen twin steer F800's,but never a F900.You wouldn't happen to have any pics or know where there is any H-81's do you? They were used in NYC for heavy mixers too.

Found 2 images on other sites. 1 is the real deal, the other is a great model of the H-81. I don't recall any H-81 mixers in NYC, probably before my time.

  6. Awww I remember those trucks. When I was little they were my favorite as they had all the colorful polka dots. Memories.

They sure did stand out. These F-900s' are all but gone. Sure wish I had taken more pictures of them. I believe they wound up out of the country. There may be 1 or 2 in Queens at another ready-mix company. I remember Scaccia and F&M had a few of these. They were a trip to drive, especially through the Queens-Midtown Tunnel or over the Williamsburg Bridge where you had to take up 2 lanes. You are right, memories! and good times there. Glad you enjoyed.

  7. Happy New Year all. I joined the site a few weeks ago. Just getting around to say hi. I have been driving construction equipment for almost 27 years. My time driving has been in New York City and on Long Island. I posted a few pictures in the gallery. The F-900 that is attached was the first truck I drove (legally). For the first 15 years I drove concrete mixers, for the later I have been driving dump trucks. I enjoy the site and can feel the passion that the members have for their trucks.
