My headlight adjusting nut/screw is broken on my 1990 White/GM (basically a Volvo) It has square headlights held in place at three points: vertical nut (top left), horizontal nut (bottom right) and pivot (top right) I need all of these parts to stop the headlight from flopping around in the headlight bucket. Dealer says parts are no longer sold (individually or as a larger assembly) and can't get as after market either The headlight is apparently a Bosch. I really appreciate any ideas/solutions. A .50 cent part is keeping the truck from making $$

I need some help with lettering fonts for my doors I am looking for that old 1950's - 1960's style of lettering Does anyone have photos of various B model doors or even the name for tthe type of fonts used back then? I am thinking of the type of lettering on the Proctor B-81 or the Flett B-81 I am not set on any one specific style, just this type of concept. Its the kind of thing where I will know it when I see it. Any help is greatly appreciated

  6. Got a newbie question On an R686, R688, R690 what do the last two numbers stand for or represent. I have been told the engine number, but what specifically is the difference between all of these?

  8. Has anyone had a bad experience with Biodiesel? I am thinking about using B99 (99% biodiesel) but do not want to fry an engine to save a few pennies.
  9. Dumb question: The mirrors with the mack bulldog on them, does the dog's nose face the cab or the dog's tail. I always thought it was the nose. thanks for your help.
  10. My 4 way flashers will not flash. The lights light up but do not flash. Is it a bad switch, relay, fuse or something harder to find like a short?
  11. I swear by the Bulldog for what I do. The F'liners, Internationals and Vulvas just don't hold up as well. My Mack has over a million miles on it and has the least downtime of any unit I own by far. Its not even close. Give me a camelback suspension all day every day.

  14. I am trying to locate where the air dryer is located on my CH613. The build sheet shows that it left the factory with a Bendix Meritor air dryer, but I cannot find it on the truck. I'm thinking the prior owner removed it. Any ideas?
  15. I am thinking about installing a bypass oil fitler system on my 1996 Mack CH613. I would like to go with a 2 micron filter and a magnet system to clean out the metal waste. Any opinions?
  16. I have a 1996 Mack CH613. I tried to have the air dryer cartridge on the air brakes changed out. The mechanic said there was not cartridge on this system. Is he correct? If not what is the part number for the cartridge?
  17. Engine position sensor checked out ok. Broke down and bought a new ECM. Ouch! But, knock wood, she seems to be back to her old self and running fine. Thanks for your input.
  18. I am happy to give you the old fuel solenoid. But it was replaced about 2 months ago and was thrown away. Sorry. Thank you for your advice.
  19. I need some help figuring out a Cummins M-11 engine shut down problem. I know this is a Mack site, but since my CH-613 runs like a tank and does not break down I don't tipically need this type of help. Here is the issue: Once the M-11 warms up it will hesitate and sometimes shut down intermitantly. It will crank back up however. It shuts down both at idle and under a load. I replaced the fuel solenoid. Still have the same problem. The fuel caps are locked, I have the only key and all fuel is filtered to 10 microns with a Cintek hydrosorb and particulate filter so I don't think fuel quality is an issue. I'm thinking its the fuel pump or worse, the ECM. I have also heard others say that it may be the engine position sensor or engine crank sensor. I welcome and appreciate any comments.
  20. My engine keeps shutting down at random times. Sometimes at when parked, sometimes while moving. It reves up, shuts off but then can be restarted almost immediately. Any ideas?
