I'm looking for any info and, or pictures of the Mack ENDT1000 V8. It is basically is an E9
V8 with no air to air cooler. I have some pictures to proove this in an old E9 overhaul manual.
My Dad has seen two of these. Both were in R700 or RD700 dump trucks. So as not get any one confused
this is not an ENDT865-866 or an E9 but looks just like an E9 except for the cross over intake
manifold runs strait to the turbo like the 865-866 rather than through an air to air cooler like an E9. It was designated the ENDT1000 for being 998 cu. in., it produced 350 HP., and was a 4 vavle unlike the old 2 valve V8s. I would like to find out what year
these were produced, what model of trucks the were put in, and how many were made before being switched
to the E9 400. I will post the picures of what the intake looks like in a few days to show
the difference between the 1000 and E9. Have any of you seen one before? It might sound a bit strange
but it did exist for a short while and is extremely rare. Again to look at it you would think
it was an E9, but if you look closely it has a different intake system. I know 865s and E9s very
well and the 1000 is neither, but again it looks almost exactly like an E9. I would greatly appreciate
any further info you might have on this engine or any pictures. Thanks again for your help, Josh.

No,but i did know the man who owned it very well! He passed away quiet a few years ago. That truck went through some different owners and last i knew it was sitting somewhere with a blown motor and what was left was ready to go to the junkyard!
What kind of shape was it in other than the blown E9 ? Could it be bought and fixed or at
least bought for a good price [it's not worth to much with a blown engine]? Is it even worth getting? Could you get some pictures of it? I would like to see what it looks like now after 25 years of use. By the way nice shot of the Magnum though it could use the stripes .Thanks, Josh.

What happened to the last Superliner? You don't see it at shows any more, why? Do Yaworski's
still have it or was it sold? Does any body know. Thanks for any help, Josh.

Come on guys I don't bite . Somebody else on here must have a 1985 MAGNUM.
thunderdog, I see your in Kane, PA. Did you or do have a 1985 RW713 Superliner log
truck that was in a 1985 Bulldog Magazine? Just curious. Thanks, Josh.

I think the 1st one was an R700. Jeff.
Was it a regular R-700 or a western RS/RL-700?

I'm curious as to what happened to the Gas Turbine Prototype 's. I know about the Cruiseliner
in the Mack Museum but I've only seen a couple of pitures of it. I know there was 3, so what happened to the other 2? I also know one was a Superliner but what was the 3rd? My Dad knows where there was a Superliner
that had a Gas Turbine sign on the hood. :mack1:It had no engine but it still had the big Turbine stacks on it.
It was still white and blue and it was in really good shape. I included 3 pictures
I found 2 of the Superliner and 1 of the Cruisliner but I don't know if the Superliner is the one my Dad found or not because I never seen it myself. If
only had the one Gas Turbine Superliner then He found it, but it has since disappeared. Thanks for any help on the matter, Josh.

I'm looking for pictures of Superliner and Ultraliner MAGNUM's. If you have any pictures of one
or own one please post some pictures and try and include the vin number to each one if you can.
I know some of you on here have one or more so please post pictures of them if you can. \
The pictures I enclosed are of my cousins Magnum's [the blue one is not really a Magnum] and Will
Wingo's.
Thanks, Josh.

I would like to know more about the Mack Freedom Series which consisted of 200 Mack Superliners
and Ultraliners. They were made in 1986 following the 1985 Magnums as a limited edtion for small fleets
and owner operators. Other than that all I know about them is that they where painted dark grey
with a red pin stripe and were made with the following engines: E6 350 to the E9 400, 450, and
500. Also they only had an option of level III or IV interiors. I have only seen 2 of them other than the ones on a brochure I found and would like to see more pictures of them if anybody has
some. Any other info would be greatly appreciated. Here's the two I've
seen and the brochure The one with the bunk has an E9 500 and an aluminum frame and is no longer in the US. I don't have any info on the other. Thanks for any help you can provide, Josh.

My Dad told me O'Hare was in Chicago Ill. but I don't know if that's right or not. Josh.

Will,
This from that book of my Dad's:
Versailles Mack; Versailles, Ohio
Mineola Mack Distributors, Inc.; Hicksville, New York
Wiegand Mack Sales And Service, Inc.; Sterling Hieghts, Michigan
As for the others on the above list the book I have does not show them. The book is from 1988
so mabey something happened to them in the years between 1988 and 1984/1985. Thanks for the
build sheet for the B421. If there's any other dealers you need to know about let me know cause mabey this book will show them. Thanks again, Josh Yoos.

How bought some pictures. I have a post up looking for pictures of both Superliner and Ultraliner Magnums.
Could you take some pictures of the Interior as well because I don't have any pictures of MH
Magnum Interiors?? The best looking MH's and Spuerliner's are Magnums in my opinion.
Thanks, Josh.

Ha Ha !! I hate those Magnums . The only true Magnums in my book are the ones made in 1985 and are
black . Thanks Josh .

Look at my gallery "truck pictures". back on page 2 or 3 is a nice hi-rez picture.
Dave
Thanks for the picture. Does any body else have any pictures of either Superliner or Ultraliner
Magnums. I would really appriciate any pictures of the Magnums. The picture I enclosed is Will Wingo's. Thanks, Josh.

I have a book that came with the Superliner my Dad drives that shows all the Mack dealers at
the time that dates to 1989. I'll have to dig it out tomorrow. Thanks, Josh.

I'm looking for Mack Ultraliner and Superliner Magnum pictures. There was an alleged 250 built
all with 9 speeds, E9 400-500 engines, and a spacial level 4 interior. All were painted black
and said MAGNUM====== on the side in red with yellow fading into red stripes behind that. Two
of my cousins and my Great Uncle each had one and one other cousin has a Blue wanabe . Will
Wingo, a friend of mine, has one that he restored. I some other stuff about them to but I' m not
going to ramble on. Do any of you have any of info to add to what I have said or any pictures?
I think Magnums are the best Looking of the Superliners and Ultraliners. Add what ever you can.
Thanks, Josh.

That is the one I was thinking of. The AB I know of has hard rubber tires. Does any one know where
there is a set of rims and spokes like the ones pictured or similar ones? Also I would need a set of fenders
and a cab. Even a patern of the cab and fenders would help. I would appritiate any
help on the matter. Thanks.

I posted up on ACMOC's website about 1940's Caterpillar truck engines and somebody posted this
photo. It's an AB Mack log truck powered by a D4400 Caterpillar Diesel dating to about 1938 or so.
I've seen another similar AB in a Mack book but it has a D3400 Caterpillar Diesel engine in it.
This would be the perfect truck for me, Antique Mack powered by an Antique Caterpillar engine.
I thought I would post it up for anyones interest. Also I know where there is an AB chasis with
no engine that I might get to make a clone just for something a little different. I already have
the engine so all I would need is a cab, 2 fenders, and a transmission.Hope you enjoy this picture.
Thanks.
