  1. Thank you sir. I will try and find just the RW cross member if I need to drill out that's not a problem. Worse case I'll clean up what I have but that will forever bother me. I'm kinda picky like like that. Want things done right if you know what I mean
  2. Very much helpfull I will start start sourcing our some parts. Like I said things are pretty sold but want to address a few bushings before I wreck more. Great info thanks!
  3. Well good news! No 4/8 gear was due to that bolt and nut coming loose and causing excessive play in the shift linkage and fork . Got everything put back together today and shifts like a dream. I just wanted to thank every for the help and input.
  4. I think your spot on!!! I didn't see a tag but who knows it could have just fell off. once I replace some bushing I will keep an eye out.
  5. wow! Thank you so much this information is awsome. by the look of the manual and my equlizer nut thread being at 1.24" looks like I have a ARD 125-6 this will make ordering parts so much easier I have somthing to cross reference. Right now I just want to replace a few bushings. Everthing else seems tight and straight. thank you so much!
  6. beautiful superliner and very well done. 👌
  7. air bag pedestal seems to be stright. I can get you more info in the A.M.

  13. I do not have a book but I will be ordering one tonight, ebay has them.1984 should be the same as 1986? I will also find a book for the clutch as well
  14. currently the trans is in the truck but will be pulling it out due to a pretty bad rear main leak. 4th and 5th or 4th and 8th?
  15. dont worry you guys will be hearing alot of my annoying topics going forward🤣. going to get it mechanical sound then plan on giving everything a nice coat of paint.
  16. Finally got around to pulling the top cover off. I have attached a parts diagram to help me explane what I found. when looking over the top cover I found #20 and #21 super loose witch was causing a lot of play in what I believe to be the shift fork for 4/8 gear. About a 1/4" to be exact on the end of the shift fork. when I flipped the cover over the nut #17 that holds the bolt #21 in had backed out and almost fell off. do you guys think this could cause the 4/8 syncro gear to not engage? I have also attached a pic of what I think the 4/8 syncro gear seems a little ground down but do think it will still work? whay should there torque spec be for the #17 nut? and what else should I be checking? sorry for all the qestions thanks everyone!
  17. thanks everyone! So from what I understand it could or couldn't be factory OEM. Eather way I will pull it apart and fix the rust jacking. Appreciate all your in put! I will let you guys know what I come up with
  18. Thank you sir! I will check it out!
  19. Good evening everyone and thanks for having me! I have already asked a few question's but wanted to post on here and introduce myself. My father and had a 1966 Mack R600 twin stick when I was younger and that's what I learned to drive truck in. Since then we have sold that truck and have had a few trucks since then and nothing really compared to that old R600. Well I finally pulled the trigger and found a nice sold superliner( 1986, RW613, E6 350, 9 speed, Neway rear air) that seems to Have good bones and cab. Few mechanical issues but for the price I can fix that. Need and little inspiration on what direction (looks) I want to go because I will be painting the cab and frame. I like more of the classic look with some 24.5 talls. So lets see the restored Superliners!! Thanks Again!
  20. Thats good new! thanks everyone! Just wanted to make sure I fix it right. Much appreciated!
  21. I was planning on just replacing that out side plate by making a new one. I tried downloading another photo but there is another plate on the inside of the frame rail as well. Think there should be one there also? That was the one I was afraid would throw alignment off
  22. 86 suspension neway track bar on rear tandom has a gusset/spacer plate bolted to the frame where it is attached to the frame. Can anyone tell me if this is factory or did someone put this together? If its not factory would this affect my axel center point to center line of truck? Reason for asking is I want to fix the rust jacking but want to make sure its done the right way. Thanks everyone!
  23. sounds good thank for the advice I'll take a look
  24. will do much appreciated. If I do need to put a reman in is there a better option? 10, 13? I would like to keep the .71 OD or faster.
  25. Good evening guys! have trouble shifting in to 8/4 hole on my 9 speed, kinda new to shifting this trans but I believe im shifting it right. all other gears and spliter work fine. Is there anything I can look for in the top cover or rear case? I also noticed and few clutch housing bolts missing along with some loose. the rear main is leaking pretty good so I plan on pulling it out anyway and checking the clutch. The 9 speed is on a 1986 superliner with and 350 E6. Any input would help! Thanks Guys.
