  1. Alright on to the next… anybody have any schematics for the high been circuit and the washer fluid motor circuit?? I’m having a hard time finding such diagrams aswell as a diagram for the relay/beakers 1989 r688st
  2. Anyone know what torque spec is for the castle nut on the “tie rod” end? Or just tighten the hell out of it?

Ok I got it town down and cleaned up the threads in the end of the cap got a little beat up from getting it moving with a punch and hammer but I cleaned them up with a file so they should be good. The only part that I don’t think is great is the boot for the socket end is well worn and has a couple small holes. Any chance of finding a new one?

  6. Thanks guys, I’ve tried to find “junk” yards near by that have r models but haven’t had much luck. Is there a source for getting the parts inside the socket that connects to the pitman arm?
  7. I am new to this, so the cap is adjustable? If that’s the case then that should fix my issue once I get the other end. How much play should I leave in it?
  8. I’ve got a 1989 r688st and just failed safety inspection because the drag link has too much slop. I’ve only been able to the tierod style end but not the socket end. No one has one or plans on making one anytime soon. Someone suggested I update the pitman/drag link to the tierod style end. Had anyone done this yet and have some part numbers? Or have an extra socket end laying around?
  9. I am in the same boat as of today! Does anyone know what pitman arm and drag link we could update to with tie rod style on both ends?

  11. So essentially without air supply it’s dumping more fuel, are the gains worth it? How would I test for proper function if I wanted to enable the valve again. The guy I just bought it from said it blows black smoke so I’m guessing this would be a big contributor to that.
  12. So what does a reversing relay do I’m new to big diesels but been working in cars for a while. How would cutting air supply affect its function? Vac is still hooked up
  13. I know the regulator is on the primer but what is this and why would someone intentionally kink the air to it? It’s an e6 motor
