You got that right! Reminds me of the time I took a Dodge pickup I had to a little garage in Concord for something. The man said "I can't work on that, it's got a carburetor and I don't work on anything that old".

It was a '91 model I think, which to me is not "that old". And it didn't have a carburetor, it had the throttle body injection. What he was REALLY saying was " if I can't just plug a computer into it and let it tell me what the issue is I can't work on it".

And here I am at 36 and hate working on or attempting to work on vehicles that don't have a Carb or throttle body injection. 🤔 that's why I own a 1976 Chevrolet Cheyenne C20 I can work on it myself

Plus I know how to work on things without butchering them.  Thus my wire harnesses are all nice and fully functional in all my

That's a big plus....I'm the same way....as Lynrd Skynrd Said "I know little....Baby we can guess The rest"

^2x what he said. Unless you're keeping it off road and you plan on keeping it forever its probably not worth it. Plus you would need a way to program it which from what I hear about Volvo isn't easy.

I doubt this person will see this but it popped up that it hadn't been answered yet so I thought I'd kindly oblige.

Only heard of people having issues, but never dealt with it myself. Lucky??

No that's what you call having parts built to last and work for a long time lol

  5. Not worth it!!! If you get caught it's 10,000 per Deleted truck to the shop plus I believe 30,000 fine initially. Also NO dealers will touch a Deleted truck and I believe it's also a 10-15 thousand dollar fine to you as a Deleted truck owner.

Several years ago we were pulling garden tractors with our club every other weekend. Either at a local fair or someone's house. There was a father and son who pulled an unknown model Speedex for awhile. It did alright in the stock class but if l remember it was a little under powered.    .....Hippy

They probably didn't put enough Moth balls in the gas tank hahahaha 😆 😂 🤣 😅

Hi guys/gals, long time no posts. Just wanted to post about the speedex 1240 i did a mechanical resto on awhile back. It is finished and runs great! Thanks for your input on the front wheels i posted about. I currently am working on a 2nd 1240 which is in rougher condition but will be resurrected. It is currently in pieces but should be running by summer.

Nice looking tractor!! I'd buff that red paint out with some rubbing compound or brush it with Lynn seed oil

Yeah soot lvl went to zero when it finished, just seemed odd to me in the middle  of a parked  regen  it would ask for a parked  regen

My 2016 does the same thing. You may want to hook it up to a computer just to double check that the system is all good just to be on the safe side.

Hell, I'd just be happy enough to see them go back to the late 2000's Pinnacle Rawhide. The new plastic interior sucks. Looks so cheap and cheesy. And the lack of side exhaust stacks.

But lets face it, all new trucks suck now. Look at Western Star. They are Freightliners now with a W on the grill. And cheap crappy FL interior and a paper thin cab now.

Luckily I don't have to run any of them any more other than the odd time I do a float move with the mines plastic garbage KW T880.

That's exactly what I love about MY 2016 CHU613 PINNACLE....STILL FEELS LIKE A REAL TRUCK COMPLETE WITH SIDE PIPES AND A Set forward axle.

Friend had a 4070b Eagle.  It was his last truck before getting out of trucking 25 yrs ago.  We cleaned it up one Sat and took it out cruising on the strip.  It was a big thing around here for quite awhile.  5 lanes for 20 miles and just packed with cool hot rods.  By 2000 it really dwindled down to nothing.  We had a big resurgence a couple years ago but it was short lived.

Here is local truck for sale.  I know the truck, he is member of committee for our local show.

Thank you Sir I've passed that on to my mechanic and hopefully he'll show the boss.

2019  truck was doing a parked  regen , while doing the regen pop up message  starting  blinking  parked  regen required.  Seems odd to me never did that before. It finished tho took 46 minutes.  Maybe  just a stupid  question

My 2016 will do that when the filter is high percent full. You should be able to check the Soot level in your Diagnostics on your dashboard Menu

Has about 3 1/2 inches of gas in it, according to my stick.

    SWEEET RIDE THERE Ralphie 😆 😂 😆 🤣 😂

  14. I figure it this way I drove a 2006 Coronado with a Series 60 Detroit 14.0L 515HP factory with a 10spd Eaton and 3:73 gears. Not governed etc no Def or Any of that Regen stuff etc. Whether fully loaded or empty avg MPG was 7-8. Also drove a 1995 Peterbilt with a 3406E cat and it got 6-7MPG same whether loaded or empty and it was probably 425-500HP maybe with a 10spd. Do I want a truck with 700-1,000 HP For OTR Nope I sure don't but having 500-600 HP and from learning how to use it correctly Yes Sir!!! It's funny how Aerosol Hair spray and paint etc are Still sold and at one time were quoted as being harmful to the Ozone 😆 😂  But OH NO THAT TRUCK CAN'T SMOKE AT ALL I MEAN " HOW DARE YOU!!!!!" It's all a joke to me anymore.
