whats with all the fault codes?? how is it still running good??
There's a sensor on the back that's messed up. Also Evidently there's a sensor for Steering wheel tilt lol. That's all the lights are on for. Nothing engine wise accord to the computer.

Well Ran her yesterday and even harder today and NO issues so far Knock on wood Vinyl. Running 60mph in 13th gear at just under 1400rpms and steady Manifold pressure of just over 20psi and gets up around 30-35 psi while in a Hard pull. Tipped the scales around 77,000lbs. She's doing great in my book!! Runs out a whole lot smoother!!!

Yeah it's all in how you look at things I guess. I mean I had a spare rig to roll with while it was down and it's basically going to be brand new with all the new parts!! I mean mechanic found a fuel leak and got it fixed today so....I figure down the road it would have been a major issue at some point. It's just nice to be back in my rig doing what I've always loved doing for the past 18yrs. 😌

Crazy thing about the M-Drive is they're actually pretty much bullet proof when it comes to Automatic Transmissions.

I anit pickin on the Green Hornet, but how often is the spare truck in the shop? Layin' down like a Lazy Dog?
No it's an M Drive Automatic. A 2014.maybe? It's junk to me because it acts weird and today the A/C went out. I'm hoping the Hornet won't be doing any laying around here soon

Well talked to our mechanic today and he showed me the new boot that VoMack gave him and it seems to be a whole lot more rigidly built than the other boot. He thinks that the other boot may have been blowing up like a balloon until it eventually came out from under the Boot clamps..... Hopefully have it back in a couple days.

The two other cars and 2 of the trucks are over 45 years old, and the other two are diesels.
Wife drives a 2018 Ford Edge Titanium. I own a 2001 Ford F250 XL Super Duty with a 7.3 Power Stroke its currently parked due to some issues and high diesel prices lol. My daily is the 1976 Chevrolet Cheyenne C20

You got that right! Reminds me of the time I took a Dodge pickup I had to a little garage in Concord for something. The man said "I can't work on that, it's got a carburetor and I don't work on anything that old".
It was a '91 model I think, which to me is not "that old". And it didn't have a carburetor, it had the throttle body injection. What he was REALLY saying was " if I can't just plug a computer into it and let it tell me what the issue is I can't work on it".
And here I am at 36 and hate working on or attempting to work on vehicles that don't have a Carb or throttle body injection. 🤔 that's why I own a 1976 Chevrolet Cheyenne C20 I can work on it myself

So many of you know that once again the Green Hornet 💚 is back in the shop. They're trying to figure out why it keeps blowing the "Boot" off. Well our good buddy who's a mechanic at our local Mack Dealer says they can get us a Boot, both tubes all assembled with the original pressed on bands. Also the new boots have a small groove I'm them that's supposed to help them stay on better by settling around the bumps or however you want to call them on the tubes. He also agreed that the charge air cooler may in fact be messed up or plugged. So hopefully soooon Boys she'll be fixed!!!

Yes Sir that is true. I was blessed to grow up with a Grandfather that was a mechanic and what he didn't know he read about and passed his knowledge on to me. Most of what I know on these big trucks I've learned by experience or asked. That quote for me is more a joke than anything. I usually say it after I've figured something out and fixed it right or helped a friend out fixing their stuff. It's also more of a " I don't claim to know it all or be a professional" kinda thing as well.
