  1. @Joey Mack I hope these will be the correct caps for my ASET ! They based it off of my VIN. @Onyx610 I didn’t think those scratches would be long term I would have thought it’d look more severe then that. Not even the gear teeth look bad. Yes I think they cleaned it up honestly to have it ready to be taken for Core Return.
  2. @Joey Mack correct they didn’t give me plugs my apologies for misuse of words; they did give me caps. I will show what caps the parts department gave me just so i can confirm with you guys I have the right ones. The Oil Pressure HOT after running a 45,000lb load at IDLE shows about 8-10PSI. At 14RPMS shows 20PSI. At a red light I go from 8-10PSI to going through all 10 (Eaton automatic) gears at 20PSI. COLD START Oil PSI runs just a little over 40PSI and makes it’s way down as the Engine is getting warmer.. Hooking up a Manual gauge to the Oil Port shows all this as well. It definetly feels like it should be pulling a lot better due to no power in the Oil PSI trouble I’m still having. @Onyx610 I know, that rear end does look dry! But that middle shaft/Rod does not look like a ‘Long term’ wear/damage to me… The only area they put differential Oil (Before the misshap) was in that bottom bowl that they forgot/improperly put that Bolt back to..
  3. @fjh I’m going to send a diagram of the oil filter housing; I asked about that relief valve in that housing and one of the Mack dealers Parts Department didn’t know what I was talking about so they printed out for me a diagram of the oil housing to show me there’s no relief valve. I don’t beleive I have oil dilution; to me seems to look all Oil from the Dipstick no discoloration of coolant mixing from either/or the coolant tank as well. Yeah haven’t hit 10k on the miles yet from having an Overhaul I plan on doing an OA at the 10k mile Oil Change. Right now I put SuperTech 15W40 for my first 10,000 miles after Overhaul and when I get the oil change will transition into Shell Rotella Oil.
  4. @fjh New Oil Pressure gauge, new Oil Pressure Sensor new oil pump, new oil cooler, correct gasket for oil filter housing New ECM 6 new EUPs pulled out camshaft that looks ok, but put in new Cam Bearings Kit Pai industries OverHaul Kit I heard on the service bulletin and through this forum the only things left could be the rockershafts missing plugs to hold the oil In; if those plugs are missing then that could be part of low oil pressure or the relief valve in the oil filter housing. what more could I look at for low oil pressure?
  5. @Adkat well, I still have Low Oil Pressure, even with The Who Overhaul I have had done. I was supposed to take my truck back to my mechanic to check out if the RockerShafts Plugs are on because that’s where I’m thinking my oil pressure issue is at. But THIS problem occurred from a different shop and postponed me from my original (Low Oil PSI) issue. @Onyx610 man I went home smelling like sh*t from the smell of that smoking Rear end 😂 I appreciate all of you putting your inputs on my topics. All of you are awesome! Man, I’m these 16 months of O/O with this truck is has been a ride!!
  6. My post will be as stated in the Title. I’ve recently passed a DOT inspection 10/11/22. That same day at that same shop; they had filled differential oil in both rear ends. I drove 400 miles fine the next day (Wednesday) and by Thursday morning I heard and felt the performance in my truck very odd. I brought the truck back to the shop it was just inspected at. I had seen it for myself that the front rear end plug/bolt was missing and both rear ends were completely wet with oil! My front rear end was smoking pretty hard, cooked. This shop had failed to either put the oil filler bolt back on properly or forgot to even put it back on at all. Anyways, they’ve installed a reman front rear end but are trying to negotiate with me; admitting there at fault for the missing bolt for the oil but that another area to fill oil in that differential was either dry or little to no oil. This shop is saying where that other area to fill oil had no oil that THATS where the damage was and NOT where they failed to put the plug back on the rear end… I am trying to fight for no negotation to pay the new Reman for their behalf of failing to put the oil Bolt back on. I will try post pictures.
  7. as far as I know is I’ve had my oil pump replaced from the first shop I went with that is well known in my region quite some time ago.. I am not sure if they used aftermarket or Mack brand but hypothetically if they used Aftermarket; have any of our guys heard of this issue with the aftermarket oil pump having a problem with the spring???
  8. I have not put a manual gauge to it yet but will when I bring it back in the shop. When we’ve talked about pressure relief valve for my low pressure engine oil is this what I should be looking at and for??
  9. Ok fellas. Go back to the picture with the oil filter housing for me. That green painted part. What is that called? I installed a new oil pressure sensor and that didn’t change anything. So if I change that green painted part I am really hoping that solves my low oil pressure issue for damn sure. Again, what is that part called? (Thankyou Dawgs!)
  10. Ok so the green part with the white filters would be the pressure relief valve?? Am I looking for the loose/broke spring in there? Do I replace the spring or replace that whole part?? That oil pressure sensor I’m gonna say is attached but not wired/connected to anything…
  11. Is this where I need to be looking at? Inside that black oil filter?? Am I looking for a loose/ broke spring in there??? Also, do you guys see on the right side of the picture that dirty light blueish thing pointing upright what is that? Is there something that needs to be connected to that???
  12. @Joey Mack for this ASET C where is the pressure relief valve located?? Can a picture be provided of location if possible??
  13. This is what I put into the ASET C engine. All Pai parts which I beleive is aftermarket. Oh, and I also completely forgot to mention. I have 6 BRAND NEW INJECTORS that I picked up from the Mack Dealer; installed with this Overhaul as well! I lve spent a very damn good amount of money now and I’m over it, it doesn’t make any sense. Mechohaulic Thankyou for your input as well. Where is the location of the oil pad to this broken/weak spring that you have mentioned? Under the oil pan?
  14. The Lightning bolt ⚡️ Comes on but turns off throughout my route and the Shut down Engine Light along with the buzzer comes on for my entire route annoyingly and never shuts my Truck down. With the list I have put in to this Truck. Im not understanding why what I thought was the last resort to Overhaul the Engine would have completely solved my problem. It did not. I’m not giving up guys, I’m just getting frustrated with this Truck that I’m trying to just have the way it’s suppose to run…
  15. Alright fellas here comes an Update Post. I have now had done an Overhaul kit put in to the ASET-C engine. I have also had a Cam Bearing kit put in and the Camshaft looked at for any wear, Camshaft is ok, previous Cam bearings did look worn up so the new Cam Bearings were put in. To my understanding the Overhaul Kit i ordered and had installed completed an In Frame Overhaul. So let’s rewind now, I have now had replaced the ECM with a new one, I’ve had a new Oil Pump put in, a new piston cooling nozzle (because One was bent) put in, a new oil pressure gauge put in, as well as a new Oil Cooler put in, also had the main and rod bearings out in before the Overhaul Kit and Cam Bearing Kit…. I STILL HAVE LOW OIL PRESSURE 🤬 !!!!! Along with the Blue Smoke blowing out of the Exhaust when the Engine is Hot and has ran a load out 150 miles…. What else could possibly be my damn issue I haven’t been solving that’s costing me my ass?!?!?! 😱
  16. Very cool cheat sheet for diagnosage! Thankyou Joey!!
  17. I really don’t have much of an update fellas. Just been running my truck like this honestly until it will finally break down and it just doesn’t, not even shut itself off when the “engine shutdown” light come up and stays on… as I’ve said, when it the engine is cold it has no issues at all, until the engine is hot. That’s when the loss of Power/Chugging between gears(at the same time with blue smoke blowing out the exhaust) happens.. there are not leaks anywhere around the motor, I know the problems are internally, so I’ve bought an Overhaul Kit along with some Cam Bearings praying to God that by doing this, will solve all my damn problems with this truck..
  18. Diagnostic lightning Bolt Codes in flashing I did myself manually through the speed control and holding down the SET button… the codes I received in flashes are 2-1 7-3 can anybody understand the counts of the pattern numbers given??
  19. Ok Joey will do, will get back to all of ya with some updates. Thankyou 🙏🏼
  20. okay Joey I will check in about that Thankyou With this 2007 mack cxn613 AC 427 Engine with almost 900k miles. I’ve had Installed A new ECU, new Oil Pump, new Oil Cooler, 1 new piston cooler nozzle(because 1 was bent) , new Oil Pressure sensor, new Rods and mains bearings. New oil filters along with new 15W40 engine Oil… Even with all these new parts I am still having my main issue which is low Engine Oil PSI/power loss performance. Because this is an ASET Engine; being very computerized… could the “technology”/sensors be the complications to the issue I am having??
  21. Ok, months later update dawgs. I’ve had my rods and main bearings completely replaced. I was shown the old parts that were in there before and those had some shave, scrape looking lines on them. BUT, even with replacing the rods and main bearings it did not solve my low engine oil pressure… it’s seeming like an Overhaul in frame IS going to have to be done fellas 🥹 what does everyone think??
  22. I will be checking in with the shop tomorrow, they had two trucks ahead of me they were working on. This upcoming week should hopefully be my truck to be worked on now. I will report back to here when I get some news fellas!
  23. I’ve posted about this topic/issue on a Mack/Volvo Facebook group page to see what any/everybody else could think of regarding my troubles. I’ve had somebody mention that my Cam Bushings may be worn? They had also mentioned that sometimes those are over looked and skipped during Overhaul being done. So now I am asking, is that a big job and could that also be a possibility connected to my problem fellas?
