Seen this truck on ebay a little while ago. The guy really brags it up such as just needs a little "TLC". The interior is average for the age but sure would pass for rough. Also says it has 56K rear axles, sure look like 34's to me. Also makes it sound like parts for the V8 are readily available anywhere.
Rob
it has 40k rears at the heaviest because it only has 5spoke hubs 44k and up is 6 spokes

A superliner is an R700, not an R600. You couldnt fit an E9 in an R600. The superliner has a bigger radiator and bonnet and the cab is set further back, and on the Mk2 version it was also raised to increase air flow. Other than the E6 a Cat 3406A and B was the only engine offered in the superliner out here, and with a Horton fan could not be fitted into an R600. Otherwise, yes same chassis, driveline and cab. Ultraliner is a non steel cab cabover released out here in about 1984, slightly earlier in the USA i believe. The last of the Mack cabovers. Out here they were only available with E6 and E9 engines, but in the USA were available with Cummins and Detroit also. They had a grille similar to a CH/R, but it extended the width of the cab. Finished up out here in 1991 were re-released in 1993 as a series 2 and went until about 1999. They were known as an MH model in the states, and an MHR out here, or commonly as an Ultraliner. There is a couple of pictures of our Ultraliner in my gallery.
btw just to correct some info a superliner is Not an R700 a superliner model is the RW series for ex. RW600 RW700 were superliners no regular r series was a superliner... some r models were known as valueliners. You could get any engine you wanted in a superliner.

Scott the cans were pretty cheep $5-$7 dollars if I remember correctly. i think 2 cans did the dash and interior cab steel.
I have not found the meterial used for the panel faces. I ended up getting some panels out of a parts truck that was in fair condition. It does seam odd that you cant get interior parts for the truck when it was discontinued a few years back. I tried looking up parts for a few year old R,RB,DM, etc... had no luck will all those vin numbers? I even tried for the R model ledgend and had no luck.

hey full fuel the other say i picked up 2 cans of mack gray metallic interior paint for my superdog... i got them from my local mack dealer... give them a call if u cant find it anywhere else the parts dept. # is (860)-570-7080
-
along with the fuel leaking there is alot of blue smoke which does subside somewhat after engine has been running for ~20 minutes but still is present.
blue smoke could be burning oil which is not a good thing keep checking your oil... i had an 85 superdog and it was blowing out blue smoke and everyweek i would hav to ass a quart or 2 of oil so that could be your blue smoke problem..and i hav that same exhaust manifold problem on my superdog now and i decided to replace all of the manifold gaskets and that solved my problem so u could try that.
