Hi guys I’m looking at upgrading my 2016 pinnacle to something newer and have a few questions. I currently have a 505c engine most of the newer trucks I’ve been looking at are a 445 tc engines will I notice much of a power loss or difference? Do the newer engines have the same injector cup issues? Is their anything I should be watching for on the anthems?

I recently had a similar problem they ended up replacing the shift solenoid and updated the shift tuning

The Mack dealers here in Ontario used Jpro every time I go for an engine light and check in they hook jpro to it. I’ve been pondering buying diagnostic lap top im more con vinced to buy Jpro or Jaltest they do all makes and models even says it does all the specific tests for Mack & volvo

When I replace this valve when the lines are off is it going to drain the tanks? Should I wait till the tanks are at about 1/2? -

Ok thanks so where is this diverted valve located under the truck do you have any pictures of it? Is it an expensive part? Both fuel tank vents are brand new I have non vented caps should would vented fuel caps make any improvement? Today I put 269 litres of fuel in the passages side tank and 200 in the drivers side so I guess the diverted is working abit? -
Hi guys I have a 2016 pinnacle Mp8 engine my fuel tanks aren’t balancing passanger side tank gets sucked dry and drivers side is full. I have replaced the fuel tank vents how do these tanks balance themselves? What else should I be looking at?

No never had any work done like that. I shut the truck down by hen had a hard time getting it to start again and then it threw a cam sensor code

Hi guys has anyone changed a cam position sensor on a 2016 pinnacle mp8 engine? Does it really need to have the depth measured and be shimmed or can I just unbolt it and put a new sensor in? I don’t have the tools mack says to use.

Hi guys I have a 2016 pinnacle recently my heater fan has stopped working ing I checkEd all the fuses and replaced the 2 hvac relays I don’t have any speeds on the front blower motor and I have noticed the bunk heater controls don’t work either what else should I be looking at?

Hi guys I’m having trouble with my 16 pinnacle I’m getting an error coming up say dpf system fault then it throws the engine light on and I’m getting p24f7 code. I have changed the ahi pressure regulator and air dryer the other day. What else ami looking at? I changed the 7th injector in the fall I can’t see it being plugged up already but should I maybe take it out and cleaning it?

Scr performance codes dealer says I need a new lower pan but I can’t find any cracks or leaks

Would i notice the difference between 445hp and 505 both the he and the regular mp8 are 1860 tq. After all the money i gave sunk into my 2016 my buisness plan is to lease and turn them in every 3 to 5 years i thinks thats the only way to go with these emissions motors. And yes thats why im look at the HE is for the fuel savings but if 445hp over 505 makes it a slug in the hills id be better off with 505 right? I haul a 4 axle end dump in northern Ontario cabada and in the southern tier ny & northeast pa

Hi guys I’m looking at replacing 2916 pinnacle with a new anthem Mack is offering a new mp8he engine it’s 445hp 1850tq would I notice much of a difference between that and a regular mp8 505 hp 1850 is the only real difference going to be 445 will take a bit long to get up to speed?

Thanks guys I think I’m going to end up selling it I just spent $2500 to replace the def sending unit the def filter needs to be cleaned and lower dpf housing is cracked theirs another $2500 to fix. I just put a new transmission techu in it that was $2500. I can’t have this thing continuing to break down and I refuse to put more money into an emissions system that’s designed to fail.

Hi guys has anyone used a dpf emulator in place of a dpf delete? I’m hst curt if theirs any pros or cons over them ? I’m having all kinds of dpf & def issues lately they’re going to put me in the poor house very soon trying to make the system work properly.

The problem I’ve been having is the exhaust system isn’t getting hot enough and I keep getting dpf efficiency codes

Where do see the rack from the outside or the inside of the pan? I replaced the def doser about a month ago and I didn’t notice any crack then.

I’m not sure where it’s cracked I look at and see nothing wrong with it physically.at the dealer you can buy the lower pan it’s $2500 or I can buy a refurbished for 1200

Im not sure where its my cracked my dealer says it’s cracked its the regular style not the clear tech.

Hi guys I was wondering if anyone knew how to find the specs on a pto. The pto I have is 21309308 this is a Mack part but I can’t find the specs on it. My truck does pneumatic bulk tank and I want to switch from that to a wetline for an end dump trailer
