  1. It came out of north Jersey, I like the truck a lot too, and would hate to see them get rid of it, especially after what it will look like if we paint it and throw some new exhaust on it. Those 12.00r24.5 tires aren't that old. All 10 of the 11.00r24 tires on the truck right now are bald and in need of new or decent used tires. Tires and exhaust are the only thing keeping it from passing inspection right now
  2. That's what we got it for, this truck is going to be pulling low bed
  3. The tires on the truck are 11.00x24, the tires I'm trying to trade are 12r24.5s
  4. He paid $2,700 for 8 of them, he doesn't know the brand, he won't be to his yard til the morning. As soon as I find out I'll let you know David
  5. I'm just looking for someone who would like to trade 8 good 12x24.5 wheels and tires for good 11 or 12x24 wheels and tires
  6. We were misinformed about the split ring I'm sorry. Everyone around my area has always identified these styles as split rims. I'm on 24" dayton hubs. He was going to sell it because of how hard, expensive and trying to find those size tires and someone that would deal with those style wheels. I called one truck tire company in my area (southern Delaware) and for 11x24s with tube mounted its $575 each. I don't know if that price sounds about right or not. He wanted to get away from split rings and go to tubeless for safety reasons and cheaper and more common tire availability. I talked to him last night and I think I might have him convinced to keep the truck for now. I told him if I could find someone whose willing to possibly trade 8 good 12x24.5 wheels and tires for 8 good 11 or 12r24s then he would have the tires he needs plus 8 that are already on the truck he could use as spares.
  7. It has daytons, the 12r24.5s he bought are already on rims, but 24.5s won't fit
  8. David, we live in southern Delaware, do you think he would ship them or meet halfway?
  9. My brother in law's business partner is thinking about selling the 85 rd that I've been working on because it needs exhaust and new tires. The truck has 11.00x24 tube tires on split rims. They bought 8 drive 12r24.5s on rims thinking it will work on this truck, but don't work. I'm crossing my fingers that if I can find someone who is willing to possibly trade 8 or 10 11.00x or 12.00x24 decent tires on rims that he might change his mind and keep it. I don't want him to get rid of this truck
  10. Thank you sir I will most definitely check that out. I really appreciate the help
  11. Thank you very much sir, I appreciate it. It's got 67k miles on it and we bought it along with a 30 ton low bed for 10k. It's even got ac and heated mirrors lol. I found the door sticker on the dash, that might help with figuring out what steers and rears it has
  12. Could someone decode this for me to tell me a little about my truck? The local mack dealer near me won't take the time to tell me, although if they did I'd be hard pressed to believe them since half the time they can't get the parts right that we need at work smh. Any help decoding this information will be greatly appreciated
  13. I know this is a year old now, but do they still sell them and do you have a picture of it? I'm trying to shop around for one for my brother in law's 85 rd
  14. I've seen those shift knobs on ebay and I like the look of them, I'll have to get some now that I know they'll fit
  15. That's neat, that's what I meant. I've I've never seen any 12 speeds with custom shift knobs so I wasn't sure if it was possible. Brian do you have any pictures of it? You wouldn't happen to know the thread size?
  16. Has anyone put an aftermarket shift knob on a 12spd? I was thinking about putting a pair of blue glitter shift knobs on the RD and didn't know if it was possible or what the thread type/size was for both sticks. Any help will be greatly appreciated
  17. That sounds like a good idea, would you know ballpark how much something like that would cost? My options were try to find chrome pop on caps for it, leave it black or leave it black with chrome axle nut covers, but I'll leave chrome plating it as an option too depending on the price. Nowadays in my area (Delaware), you usually see these steel nosed trucks as just rusted up site trucks that don't get hardly used on road and live mostly on a jobsite with minimal use. It would be nice to shine and polish up the ol truck and make it really stand out to all the other trucks on the road
  18. Thank you Alex, I know one of them I want is a manifold pressure gauge, the other gauge I'm in the air about
