I have never laid eyes on a 24" dayton hub. Laid eyes on very few 22" dayton hubs.

24.5" will not work on 24" tube type hubs and are not a direct replacement.
24.5" Daytons tubeless are a direct replacement for a 22" hub.
Check around with other commercial tire dealers. They may have some better used rubber to keep you going.

I assumed he was on a 22" dayton hubs.

The 24.5's are on dayton wheels? Why won't they fit?

My brother in law's business partner is thinking about selling the 85 rd that I've been working on because it needs exhaust and new tires. The truck has 11.00x24 tube tires on split rims. They bought 8 drive 12r24.5s on rims thinking it will work on this truck, but don't work. I'm crossing my fingers that if I can find someone who is willing to possibly trade 8 or 10 11.00x or 12.00x24 decent tires on rims that he might change his mind and keep it. I don't want him to get rid of this truck
Dayton hubs I assume?
Why not just buy some wheels to fit the tires you bought?

That truck is awesome.
Note: I went back to caucasion style nomenclature so you white debils can understand.

Anybody have a need for some mack rears set up for a walking beam suspension?

I am trying to fit into the new world we are living in. You better get woke. It's all over for the white devils.

That truck is in incredibly good shape. It should be restored, not modified.

Can I run lower pressures in my 11x24’s to try and smooth the ride out in my DM800 tractor ?
You sound like a man that should be rocking a freightshaker.

Did you redrill the stud holes for the old style nuts or swapped the hubs?
Wut?

Yes, I have the valueliner style. Battery boxes and lids for east coast trucks are a dime a dozen around here.

In another 100 years there won't be a single Anthem left.
That is so true. They will be made obsolete and gone long before then.

Is that the valueliner style? Superdogs run the same box?

Wow, no glove or diamond shaped gussets? You are a brave man.

So my 86 RS will have the metric frame? How do I tell?

Actually, the cutting edge all-new chassis used first with the MH Ultra-Liner and later the RWI second generation Super-Liner was our first "metric" frame design. Naturally we used metric fasteners including "body bound" bolts as well.
About what year was that?

The gray is easier to find, the tan looks better.

3 of mine are brown, and the latest model one(86) is gray.

Very nice, but a touch too high. The detroit will be a deal breaker more than the price will.

I love my old R models, but I do realize they would struggle a little with 100k of excavator and trailer behind them.
