  1. No what I meant was if the delco pinion from a 39mt would fit the Mitsubishi. I found the correct delco 39mt since this post. Will let you know how it works once I get it installed. thanks
  2. Got a 39 mt starter and it is 12 spline Mitsubishi. Anyone know if the Delco pinion fits the Mitsubishi? Price was right.
  3. Which is better single or double? This will be a site truck in The mountains so the lower the ratio the better. How much newer of a rear fits? Do you think the newer style that drop in from the top would fit if I changed the whole axle? I can get one of those cheap. Not looking to put a lot into it.
  4. Finally got that measurement. It is 23” from face of the rear to center of the driveshaft. With it being that much space I would think it would be double reduction but would appreciate any help identifying. Thanks
  5. Sweet! I do have the driveshaft but it will take me a few days to get it measured. I will post once I get the dimension. Thanks
  6. Just got a B67 and it does not have the center section in the rear. Axles are there. Any idea where I can find a tag or stamping to determine what I need? Did they all have the same rear just different ratios? I am going to use this as a site truck in the mountains so I don’t need it to be brand new. It does have Mack stamped in the rear cover which is welded on and is not removable is that helps in identifying. Can I swap it out with a newer style that drops in From the top? This one comes in from the front. Thanks
  7. What are the differences in each model and should I look for one over another? thanks for the info.
  8. Need to swap the old 24 volt starter in a B67 to 12 volts. Someone took the parallel switch so it is either switch alternator to 24 volt or starter to 12. I know it is done, does anyone have a starter model number that the old one crosses to? Old starter number is a Delco 1113700. By my research it crosses to a MT40. Will it drop in or do I need a specific MT40? I am only wanting to be able to crank the engine and have headlights as far as my electrical system goes, it is a site truck In The mountains so I don’t need anything else, I am eliminating everything else. Thanks for any help.
  9. New guy here but long time Mack guy. I have a ??? B67 dump truck just acquired, waiting to get the serial number to determine what I have. I also have 2 Allis Chalmers HD5 crawlers, a 1954 in a dozer and a 1953 in TS5 loader, 1941 Farmall A tractor and a 60s vintage Massey Ferguson MF20 with a loader. Nice site here, I appreciate the inclusion.
