What area of the truck is it coming from, front ,rear etc? could be universal joints,loss plate under truck,loose connection for the tag/ speedometer cable, has it done this since you owned the truck?

also you have to bleed in the correct rotation usually the shortest ones first (front then rear) the best way is with the vaccum pump a cheap one is about $30. and follow the instructions

my son and I now own one of the'L' model mack pumpers featured in the cape cod group ,photos of it on pages 6,7,8 it was lettered a TUNBRIDGE , it was also in the line up of several 'L's in a row, most photos where taken in the late 90's, we purchased the truck in 2009 and did a off frame restoration, just got it back on the road in dec 2011, readying for the parade and muster circuit now.

I received the old style mack decals today and they look great, thanks for the hook -up.

do you also make the old style decal that was for fire trucks, it's exactly like the ones I received but it reads fire trucks under the 'MACK' logo ?

terry : thats the style (old) I only need a few in 21/2 " decals to put on glass, how do I get them?

the truck is for showing, but we do run it on the road to shows and musters, it;s not a trailer queen.

just cleaned and repainted frame and undercarraige of our mack fire truck, but getting a lot of grease splater from the joints, any suggession on something to wrap around the jionts, maybe something like sarran wrap?

nice looking work that you done so far, you mentioned LED lights ,be careful some of the LEDS don't work if you have a positive ground system (mostly 3 wire) good luck

thats a great looking C 95 ,I guess it is gas also, that open cab is one of my favorates, I have a 54 mack LS85 open cab, we have tokeep these mack preserved for ever.

just got my L 54 MACK back on the road and not used to the shifting double clutching ,start out in 2nd gear and have trouble sometimes getting into 3rd, have to stop and start again,sometimes catch it just right, also downshifting from 4th to 3rd, I know you have to catch the engine speed just right.

would a tachometer help me or any other hints that would help shifting?

5.5 / 6 " should be your min. and at least 4000# with wire, our pole barn(a MORTON) 42X52 we had to build up with recycled concrete 6 to 18 " took about 50 tons ,power plate compact in 2" lifts, cover with plastic, wire .

another important item is the expansion material, we used a recycled rubber material 6" high all the way around

the building including around each post , we did all the prep work and the concrete crew did the pour/placement started

at 7am and they where gone by 2 pm 40 cu yd including aprons , (7 GUYS)come back next day and saw cut joints in.

HAS NOT CRACKED IN 5 YRS.

your new rig looks nice, it has another thing common to MACKS..... it was built in PA. , had a lot of them HAHNS,over here in N.J.,

nice truck, but it didn't have any gold on it ,I guess it was done with the intent of selling it and letting the buyer do the gold to their liking.
