  1. Thanks Greg, those do have a shape that might look good on a B pickup. I'll have to improve my photoshop skills to test the theory.
  2. What would it take to install a T2050 behind the ENDT675?
  3. I am thinking of buying a 1980 R600 that had a cab wiring fire for parts. It has a ENDT675 (235HP) coupled to a Mack 5 speed. The old engine runs good and I'm thinking about shoehorning it into my old B20. I can get the whole truck fairly cheap, use what I need and part out the rest to recoup some of my investment. Is the Mack 5 speed used behind the ENDT675 in these trucks an overdrive transmission, or is it direct in 5th?
  4. That is pretty impressive. How much boost? Are you running nitrous?
  5. Not going to chop up the Mack, just fabricating a bed for it and it will be removable if needed. The B20 will keep the original cab, chassis, and running gear, although it will probably end up with more HP than it originally had. I was just trying to get an idea of how it will look when finished.
  6. I am going to build a B20 pickup and wanted to get some opinions on the bed lines I am thinking about. I will be fabbing the bed up from scratch so I am only limited by my wallet and time. I found a Google picture of a B20 fire truck then did my rookie version of photoshop to get an idea of how the finished version would look. My truck will go back dark green, not red, but I'm thinking the bed lines will be very similar to the picture. What do you guys think?
  7. It doesn't look bad but I think the seller sure could have done a little more with additional pictures and a better description.
  8. I see said the blind man, a picture is truly worth a thousand words. I appreciate everyones help. I'm getting ready to order a complete glass kit for my 1953 standard cab B20 from this place. http://www.classicflatglass.com Is the standard cab designated a CA30 model?
  9. I was looking at B67 pictures trying to see the difference in my B20's cab and could not tell much from the photos, most photos of them are from the front. I'm 6ft. / 240 lbs. and the B20 cab is kinda cozy. Is the difference in the curvature of the sides where it makes the transition to the back of the cab?
  10. How can you tell the difference in the contour cab vs. the std. cab ?
  11. Thanks, I feel better now knowing I'm not stuck with the old tube type rubber.
  12. Ok, one more rookie question. Will both of the 8.25" wheels fit on the rear hubs w/o being too wide? I'm not sure of the width of the stock 10.00-20 wheels, just don't want any surprises after I spend a bunch of money.
  13. Thanks Rob, do I need 22.5 x 8.25 rims for the conversion or some other width. By the way I just found these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=310035874703 might be a deal for someone, I was recently quoted $200 a piece for Chinese 10.00-20's with tubes and flaps.
  14. I'm not trying to steal this thread either but was getting ready to start a thread asking the same question. My B20 has 10.00-20's and Dayton's on it which have seen better days. If I am reading this right the Dayton hub is the same and I could use 22.5 Dayton wheels on the stock B20 hubs which in turn would allow me to use the much more common 11-22.5 tubeless tires.
  15. Thanks for the tip. For some reason these http://www.oldmacksrus.com//Info.htm links won't open from my computer at home but I was able to open them from work today. I may not have a '50 model B-20 after all, it shows the first year for a B-20 as 1953. I'm having to go the lost title route so I guess I better confirm what year it is for sure. Does anyone know the GVW on this baby Mack? I'll try and post a few pictures this weekend...
  16. Hello all, I just purchased a 1950 B-20 that I plan on making a antique style wedge bed car hauler out of. Where can I find some specs. on this truck? I tried the search feature but nothing came up for B-20.
  17. Hello all, I just aquirred my first Mack truck. It is a 1950 B-20 that is going to need a total restoration. I don't have much tied up in yet, but I'm sure that will change soon enough......
