  1. I used everything off a 320 ,nothing special was done .the 350 4v turbo 4le flows less than a 5316 by the way 285/320/350 2v all use the same turbo . if mack had changed the cylinder heads to 2v they would have also changed the camshafts being they are totally different .I've used this setup for over ten years on this engine and it stills pulls as hard today as it did when i did the change 10 odd years ago,it's a working truck not a show truck

  2. mr black a 237 will out pull a 350 small cam cummins all day every day ,don't forget our speed limit here is 100k not 70+ mph like the yanks have ,I had a 237 with a12speed new from the factory, the beauty of a 12 or a10 speed mack box you can drive them as a five speed or split unlike a bush ranger.don't forget that most of the road trains of 70's were r600's with 237 @ 120 t rating. so it's capable of doing the job

  3. cruise liner mate is it the rh side wearing out more than the left??? if it is that is normal in oz its to do with the geometry of the front axle because of the camber on our roads ,you can rectify the problem by having the kpi changed ,that will fix the wear issue but it will be pig to hold steady on the road all i do is swap r to l and flip the tyres on the rims to try and get decent wear [i run 660 double coins 295 on the steer i get a good run out of them. i've tried top end tyres, down to budget tyres and i've found d/c's work well. hope that can help you. steve
