Jim ,
Put it in the drive way , get a lawn chair and stare at it like I do. I cant keep from looking out the window at mine. You have a great project to start with, im curious also to hear what all should be done to one that hasnt been ran in a while or used very much. -

Ill post up a picture of just the knob in a bit. Well it will be running empty on a dry road with it turned to full/high. -Jay

Would that be like the trolly brake I have on the steering column?
P.S. I dont have the flipper switch in the B model(just this one) but the R600 has one on top of the dash for wet/Dry roads.

This one never had air valves there the old ones were more near the steering wheel. Its for the windsheild washer. I sent off for the build sheet about 3 week ago for it. -Jay

Speed, I got them from a girl on ebay/Susan thats a great help. They are holding up pretty good, I havent noticed anything worn off them. I also have the quarter fender rubber flaps the same way and they are still looking good also. She has them in Mack red,Mack green , and your regular black. -Jay

I miss the old Tom Bailey Mack until TransSource bought them out. It went from walking in for help to taking a number behind the fleet thats in there. 2 weeks until I have a PM done is pretty bad. So I know what you mean about your old local dealer. - Jay

Yes it has the orginal engine. Am I shifting too low at 1200 RPM? I was told that was what it shifted at. I havent drivin it much. Im going to learn the correct way to shift it before I do much more. I know you go : 1 low 1 high 2 low 2 high and so on from what I read. Seems like everyone has there own way of driving. I read that stay in high and shift like a 5 speed when empty and dont lug under 1500 PRM while driving your ok also. Thanks for talking with me on this. -

Mack near here is 80.00 hr. My local shop up the road is 85.00hr. Mack was nice to me but said they are back up 2 weeks by im guessing fleet trucks. If I had the time to wait id go with Mack but the local shop was real nice also , and can do it in a day or two. -

Im going to go with its ok empty. - J
Also , you shift around 12 right?

Hate to bring up a ollllllld thread but I figure that ill add to this than make a new one. Im new to the duplex Mack also. It hurts the truck when empty to leave the right in high and just shift it like a 5 speed? Im a litte lost and I dont want to hurt the B I have. -Jay
