  1. I was looking for stackable washer and dryer so I could build them into the one wall in the bathroom, small house. I looked and looked at cheap units very unusable for us until we looked at Miele units, they had standard size tubs and still fit where I wanted them that was about 15 years ago, and Marianne has been trying to wear them out ever since I installed them a load of clothes about every other day. At the prices you're quoting I guess the price in the end wasn't that bad for the units.

  2. When I bought my new to me engine the governor didn't act right so I took a chance on an injection pump rebuilder in Williamsport Pa. the guy had it fixed that day and it was just a shim adjustment and it was around 100 or so dollars I would recommend the place, but I just can't remember the name. There is a shop in Dunmore and I took the pump from my early 673 to see if it could be repaired and Charlie said throw the pump in the junk no parts available it was as if he really didn't want to touch the pump.

  3. Larry, I got done getting things all squared away and my duplex would jump out of 4th or 5th I can't remember now, and I went looking for a twin stick I wanted a 20 speed, but I found the triplex and it is ok. I actually like this trans better than the 4x4 I had in my Autocar. Licensed to kill we belong on the model a site and I did the 12-volt thing because I put the heater in my cab and 12 volt was half as much as 6volt. I figure I was pulling more air through the air cleaner, and I figured the dry type would help out.

  4. When I still was working at Cleveland brothers they had two 977 track loaders one was really in good shape and the other one was a worn out mess, the big boss sent word I had to sandblast the dog one and give it a good paint job, they always got me to do the painting if it was important that the paint be good. I did the job and that junker sold fast. Me and my uncle tried to talk the customer in the better machine but the new paint got the customer he was a fool with his money.

  5. I've had those discs fly apart on me when the pieces start bouncing of things around me it gives you quite the scare. I am really sorry that you got hit that hard with the disc parts, I hope it heals up and the dr. is wrong, and you get all your recovery much quicker. Somedays it doesn't pay to get out of bed.

  6. The charmin pampers factory up from me has three gas wells on their property, before I retired the toyota forklift dealer I bought parts and lifts from just got an order from charmin for 100 natural gas powered forklifts. I see most all the class 8 tractors shifting trailers are natural gas fueled. They had a turbine installed to make energy after the first well was up and running.

  7. The longer the braided steel line the better going down to the air dryer. And having an air dryer I always drained the tanks every day I run the truck and I preached that to drivers for years and if you let the air dryer's filter get plugged you aren't moving the truck.

  8. My company opened a new yard and I got stuck road testing drivers, the owner was pushing for a guy that had a collage education I took him down to turn the truck around and he couldn't back the triaxle in a 20 ft. wide driveway. I let him head out on the main road and he couldn't shift the truck 8 speed. We limped down to the light and I got behind the wheel and drove it back. The next guy did everything right and I hired him.

  9. When I ordered a new trailer, I had it setup that the rear spread axle would deflate it made turning better in our yard. I could have done the front axle, but I figured it would be better for the guys shorter turns and a little less pressure on the axles when turning. We hauled brick and mortar. Back in the day we used a 35-foot trailer today 45 foot and a spread axle.

  10. If and when I was changing a Dayton I always used a little block that I would place next to the tire when I was tightening the lug nuts I used a 1/2 air wrench I shot for as true as I could make them when I rotated them. I have seen some jobs that was so bad who ever put the tires and rims on the truck should have been fired. I always loosened the nuts and hit each wedge with my hammer I didn't the first time I changed a tire and the wedge I took the nut off flew about 15 feet just missed me I never made that mistake again.

  11. Back in the early 70's Cleveland brothers sold jcb backhoes and I had to work on them then all of a sudden cat brought out the loader backhoe and instantly the jcbs were gone. The cat equipment I worked on was far different than what they have today. The last job I worked at we had a cat wheel loader it was designed by committee poor excuse for a machine it got replaced by a case loader nice design. I looked at skid steers for my other job and ended up with case units they were simple and reliable units we had eight of them.
