If you were picking up streetside homeowner garbage in the city after 2 blocks you would learn to love that auto trans. You really don't want to deal with a std. in a frontloader . The wheelloaders I ran i'm glad they were auto's. But there is something about a 13speed behind a 318 Detroit or dealing with a 4by4 behind a small cummins cool stuff.

I had lots of different bike brands and I owned and rode 56 and 49 pans 1934 vld 1940 8o" flathead 1963 sportster 76 92" shovel 2006 107" twin cam and when I was a kid I rode a ridged frame 125 harley in the woods as one of my dirtbikes. I then turned to bmws what a change in the way you lived with the bikes.I don't want to bash Harley but   Harley has the sound but is and never will be a super bike.I wish some one fresh would of took over and did a revamp of their lineup.

I just ordered a used hardcover for less than 4 bucks from thrift books and .99cents shipping. It looks like a good read thanks for the post about it. When I was a young kid I read two books bulldozer and tmodel tommy after we got the computer I looked around and bought reprints and I reread them every so often.

I think marabell trucking was on rt.92 going past the split to go to lake winola. I remember seeing the trucks by the garage. Thank you for the memory. Nice pictures thank you.

Can the brake shoes be bolt on lineings? My friend couldn't find drums for his old trailer and he found an iron foundry and had them cast new ones then he turned them down to size on my old lathe he got from me. time consuming but it was a very happy ending for him.

I have to say there is something about the sound of a v8 or v12 Detroit sort of like a shovelhead harley or my old velocet thruxton very much there own sound.

Here i set was going to go motorcycling with friends and woke up at 3:30 with a swelled up right wrist,crap! I was cutting wood on Monday so i could cleanup the mess after the tree guys got done and sh-t happens. I was told this morning i'm an old fart get used to the aches and pains. Its my right one so i can't even work a fishing rod.

To me the drivers door looks narrow? I have found the mack cabs hold together but we justabout went broke trying to keep the trucks on the road because of problems with the pollution controls. We had an older acar with a cummins and i liked that frontloader over the macks. We were rearload  only until the owners got a frontloader soon every thing was frontload what a time saver.

I liked how the fenders swung out of the way on the two triaxels i drove. If i had too much fun on wed. night that 318 really got my head pounding on Thursday.

All the info you need is on that box chances are it is a ross or sheppard box right around the output shaft housing should be numbers. You got to clean that box up to see them. Once you find the numbers do a search on the web you will find your info.

On my white it had an air brake peddle on the floor and run a hose to a slave cylinder pushing on the clutch arm. It was 30 some years ago so i hope i remember it right.

My white cabover had a air clutch and it was somewhat touchy. I never used it to shift gears just to take off and you wanted to use 1st gear bobtail or loaded good luck
