You guys aren't making me feel any better here, LOL
Joey Mack, your Progressive Democrats are what we call Libtards here in Canada. The trans gender tree hugging climate change enviro-MENTALists. You know.....the ones that want equal rights, as long as their share is bigger....and their opinion is the ONLY right one.
And I feel your pain Mower Man. I left my owner op/trucking life to go work in a mine with 300 or so employees. We have strict health check, mask, sanitizing and glove mandates. We have had ZERO cases.
But as I have been told....if no vaccine, will be masks gloves and Q-tips to your brain for life, then when I work a week and go home for my week off......well you left the property, so now you quarantine for 14 days before you can come back. In other words...starve you out until you quit.
And I love how Canada has the highest percentage of vaccinated population at over 80% but then today I here on news outbreaks are at an all time high. Remind me again why I NEED to get this vaccine????
I'd rather die of covid to get away from all this horseshit world.
What do I have left? They are putting DPF's and emissions on my farm tractors now over 26 horsepower. Not the life I enjoy any more. Take all your technology and throw away JUNK and stick it up your a$$

Well gentlemen, I'm particularly pissed off today. Let me start buy saying I'm not on any side, but I think this "pandemic" is way overblown and the bullshit media is fueling the fear mongering.
Again, I know the virus is real, but it does not concern me. I was once diagnosed with cancer too, but I'm still hear. Not going to live my life in fear.
But the final nail may have finally come. I am dead set against getting this vaccine for many reasons. Two of which are nobody knows if it is going to work or what effects it will have. Not to mention the way this whole thing has been handled has made me completely lose what little trust I had in the government. And yes I do fully believe they have some kind of agenda.
But back to my point. Looks like I may have to drink the Kool Aid and get it because the job I have that pays me a ridiculous amount of money may make it mandatory. Not to mention that I can't cross the border and they are trying to make it so you can't even go in a grocery store without it. And after listening to MANY human rights and labor lawyers it looks like although an employer cannot fire you, they can most definitely starve you out to get rid of you.
Says what's the mass opinion here....continue my bullheaded FTW fight or just give in and get their brain washing syrum?
Talked to a doctor today and he predicts this vaccine is going to be a yearly shot, not just these tow doses.
Funny how big pharma is making billions in profit now eh?

Been a long time and my memory is shot, but thought I'd throw that in the mix too in case it was a separate issue.
I actually learned of that fix from this site. Unfortunately it was many years after the truck was gone.
-
Was also a bad mass ground point problem too. If I remember right it was near the left A-pillar just under the windshield? A ground bolt with a whole bunch of wires on it.
My 2000 did that for years until we finally got sick of it and I got a 9900i with a Cat.
It would randomly show the lightning bolt on the dash and shut down then start right back up going down the highway. And it was like a light switch. My 460 will pull along side 475 Cat's when it decided to run, then next hill you would think the clutch was slipping because it would not pull at all.
Even my dealer could never figure it out. They changed ECM, wire harnesses, etc. And it turned out to be that ground.

Yep, have a friend that had a Titan with an MP10 605 and was very happy with it. But then Mack discontinued both the Titan and the MP10. he now has a Star with a 600 Detroit.

If your buying new ! go where your service is going to be the best Most all makes are created equal ! All cheap wire all cheap sensors JUNK the base vehicle will be comparable! BUY lots of warranty you'll need it!
My opinion
Best advice right here. Any new truck, get the 7 year extended warranty and get yourself on a 5 or 6 year trade/sell cycle, because year 6 will make you hate life, LOL

Not sure how the count is still going considering they are no longer manufactured here? But still cool I guess.
A lot of cool Mack's were born here, like the CL350ST and the RD800. I still remember how cool it was to drive by the factory in Oakville and see a line of those and the big M Series haul trucks lined up along the fence.

Navistar, Freightliner and Ford have nothing to worry about. They still have more cab and engine options than Paccar.
Paccar has no extended cab or crew cab options, and no gasoline engines.
-
I also loved the mechanical E7. My memory is fuzzy on the years, but I pulled dump trailers with a CL that had a mechanical E7 400 and it pulled every bit as good as the E7 454 and two 2000 E7 460's I ran. And it was bulletproof.
It's just too bad that when I had my 2000 CH E7 460 it was a nightmare but now we all know all the fixes for them and it could have been a great engine.
It cooked 5 air dryers and compressors from the casting sand issue, dropped a valve and had that bad mass ground issue that no dealer at the time could ever figure out.
But like I said, when it decided to run, it pulled great and got awesome MPG's.
Knowing all the fixes now, I'd love to still have that truck.

Don't know what can be done with an MP but I personally know 6 ISX Cummins that were deleted by the biggest advertising delete company you see and they had the 750 h.p. programs. They pulled pretty good.....for a very short time. Then they ALL blew up. LOL

Well Keith, if your MTO guys down your way are as dumb as mine all you'd have to do is get someone to make you some fake SPIF decals to put in your door jams because every time I've been inspected I had to explain to them how it works because they had no clue.
I always laughed when getting inspected empty and they say "OK, drop your lift axle" and I'd reply "sure, do you have 4500 KG's to put in the dump box?" LOL
Then they'd just look at you dumbfounded. LOL

Snowdog.....did you look into SPIF'ing it? Looks like you have enough wheelbase. The prices to convert seem to have come down from what I had originally been hearing. My friend is getting his Paystar 5600i done for 14 grand minus the rims and tires.
Those Mack CL tandem dump trucks I posted pics of in the mine I work at have been scaling 72,000 KG this week (158732.83 pounds)

I thought those could still be spec'd on the new Granites? I see them on the lots.
-
Paul.....what kind of power numbers did they get out of the old E6 and E7's in Australia?

They are slated to be phased out over the next few years. Most Freightliner M2's sold these days are Cummins powered anyway.
Only other medium duty I can think of other than Ford that isn't Cummins powered is the Chevy/International.
Well that had to be a colossal waist of development money.....to bring those engines to market for the very short time they were available.
Ya, I forgot about the Chev/CV being Duramax powered. But International is still a Cummins user in the MV.
Good thing is you know Cummins should be all over development of those 6.7 motors, because EVERYONE is using them. So if they have issues, everyone will know about it, LOL
-
So now that Freightliner also went Cummins, what does this mean for their recently developed Detroit DD5 and DD8?
-
Pretty wild. Kind of tells you something about these ridiculous emission laws when a company like Hino/Toyota gives up and goes vendor engine.
Good for Cummins though. They own the whole medium duty market now except for Ford. Pete and Kenworth can call them Paccar's, but they are 6.7 Cummins too with Paccar decals on them.
Between all the mediums, Ram pickups, farm tractors like Versatile and Kubota M8's and construction equipment......that 6.7 Cummins has to be the best selling motor there is.

Do they still draw air from the base of the windshield? I used Cab Fresh filters on my 2000 CH when I had it. I actually used Cab Fresh filters on all my trucks. Very good quality, great people own the company, easy to install and clean.
I actually helped them redesign the Paystar 5600i filter and wrote the installation instructions. They used to have a pic of my truck in the Paystar advertising.

I saw the new T270/370's. It's the W990/T880 wide cab on it.
More cab room, but the current narrow cab looks a lot nicer.

And yes, this world is full of large groups of stupid people. They are the ones running the world, because when voting time comes, they outnumber the rational thinking humans.
They are the stay at home and collect handouts generation that feel entitled and were "wronged" their whole life.
Too dumb to realize if they just put their big boy panties on and went to work like the rest of us, they can have what they want and have a good life.....instead of sitting around crying for handouts and retribution.
