  1. That steam thing of ma bob .looks like a steam power thresher engine or saw mill engine . looks pretty complete you can see the governor  fly weights in the middle  ,nice little rig. boiler is probably shot. I would better there are a few steam guys out there who would love to have  it.

  2. My uncle had three of  of the PD3751 silver side buses . they were said to be the last three Greyhound  operated. They stopped at my Grandmother 's  house for supper on there way back from picking them up. The logos were off but they were still blue, and quite a sight the three of them lined up on are little street. It must have been  around 60,61  . I got to ride them a few times and to a 7th grader they were huge ,but oh so comfortable .

  3. The question remains what do they need the full auto weapons for ,do they think they are Eliot Ness and they are going after Al Capone .And why the four silencers ? Is that so we can't hear them shot use in the back.

  5. Boy I sure wish I was old enough with deep pockets back in the 50" The NO and Diamond t's and let us not skip the Kenworth wreckers  and the big Ward Lafrance wrecker That I would have loved to buy All the heavy towing companies were buying surplus ,House movers used Diamond T tank transporter, and  some of those old wreckers worked up into the eighties if not later.

  6. maybe you should get the coveralls and get under neath it and see ,because if it is a splayed frame and you have two or more feet of good frame you can cut it off and go new double frame back from there. Besides  45 min ride is nothing ,unless you are walking a crane home

  7. no he looked more like a sixties hold over who would have to beg to get a stink finger, only he was in his 40's I would guess. Now if it was a good french copper fry pan she could have done some real damage ,they weigh as much as cast iron.

  8. A company that used to haul bread from thomas to up state NY had two cl with 8V92's they were purchased to run 40" doubles on the NY thru ways pedaling bread  I think i even remember a calendar with  40' triples hooked up .the company had run Macks for ever and did continue . Side note they also used to haul coffee and whiskey  out of NYC and used to get a truck a month hijacked , used to take the driver's license and give him cab fare home a couple days later the truck would be found undamaged on a back street ,today the driver would be in a coma and the truck burned some place . things have changed in 50 years.

  9. I was going to ask if the early fords had Trado conversions or if they were ford .I also remember see HIHO concrete in Danbury ct with the belt drive dead axle on IH 's trailer dumps back in mid 50's.There batch plant was at the Danbury rail yard at the big old wood frame coal depot .Used to watch the  NYC trains change from  EP3 electric  (they were monsters they didn't make very much noise but shook the ground) the  to diesel  Alco's. (they were stream line PA1's)
