  9. It's more about need and expense. They have three 100' aerials in service, but the CST's were used in residential areas that did not require an aerial. At one time, they had three CST's in service, but all are being replaced by heavy rescues. Staffing remains the same (4/unit), but they don't throw as many ladders as they used to. Cary FD operates from 9 stations.
