Dave I know that Vintage Fire truck and the Owner. I built a few engines for him and was heavily involved in the rebuilding of some of his Super liners.. The wheel chair modification is really nice.. I beleive we took it to the Spencer N.C. show 2 years ago when I met You.. Jojo
That is correct, but I didn't get a shot of it then. This shot is from this year's show.

Such cute little dogs y'all have. I've had my AKC registered "Couch Hound" for over 44 years!
About 24 years ago, she found me in the garage crying. She asked me what was wrong. I asked her if she remembered the time her father had caught us together and told me I had a choice - to marry her or go to jail. She remembered and asked why I was crying. I replied "I'd be getting out today!"

On 3/16/2023 at 10:21 AM, other dog said:Back in my younger days people would have a party or cookout and order a keg sometimes. You had to order them in advance from the beer distributor and rent the tap too. Many folks have spent all evening and half the night trying to "float the keg", only to end up passed out on somebody's lawn. It seemed like the thing to do at the time, but they didn't realize just how much 15 1/2 gallons of beer really is. I've been called the day after such events before and heard "hey, Joe's got half a keg of beer left and he's got to have the keg back by tomorrow, come on over!". I tried to do my part to help out.
I knew a guy who had a refrigerator in his basement and kept a pony keg in it. He had the tap mounted on the side and could just grab a red Solo cup and have a cold draft beer whenever he wanted, that was pretty neat.
We floated the keg at my retirement party!

Sad story. It brings to mind two incidents I responded to during my career. The first was a working structure fire in a house with an attached garage. On arrival, there was heavy black smoke pouring out of a gaping hole in the garage door. A line was taken in the front door to the kitchen and the fire was attacked from the kitchen door to the garage while others removed what was left of the garage door. When the smoke cleared, there sat the remains of a set of dual wheels off a tractor trailer. We later found two spots where the duals had bounced before getting to the garage.
Second was a call to injured motorists on the Interstate. We found the car on the shoulder of the road, up against a wall, with the roof caved in down the center. The two ladies inside were somewhat banged up and likely had concussions, but they survived. They had no clue what had hit them until we saw the tire tracks on the roof. The Police located the wheels quite some distance away.
