  1. Hi Barry! I forwarded the email from Alcoa to the address yoy sent me. did you recieve it? what do you think? any ideas on how to go about making this happen? I think most of us would want the ball and seat type wheel, but there are some that have swapped rear cut offs with air ride that might want hub piloted type. maybe we could get a list of members that would want to purchase them to get an idea on placing an order?  Thanks, Doug

Doug, I did get the email and it looks pretty promising. Do you or anyone have a photo of what the wheels should look like? Just so I can confirm they are talking about the right thing? Post here or email it to: wmsi@alltel.net and we'll see what we can get going!

  2. Hey there Barry old chap, I scanned a couple of photos then tried to upload them , but for some reson your system cant get its bone around a PSF file, any ideas,

    Nigel :chili:

The gallery will only accept several types of file extensions...jpg, jpeg, gif...etc. You should be able to change your image to jpg when you import it from your scanner...that would be the best bet. If not email the photos to me and I will convert them to jpg for you! wmsi@alltel.net

  3. Welcome to to BMT! Sounds like your looking at a U685ST (U-Model) also sounds like you will need to do an overhaul on that engine if it is using that much oil! I looked up your vin and it call for an ENDT675 so that is good...parts are available aand not tooooo expensive. Like Trent said, you will need to verify the engine stamping because an old truck can have alot of stuff changed through the years!

  4. I finally got my home computer to access the chat room, but I had to download Firefox browser to do it.

If you cant access the chat and have tried downloading the Sun Microsystems Jave stuff, and still no chat...try Firefox! It is free and easy to download. Just goto www.getfirefox.com and follow the directions. Worked for me!

2 things I noticed though, 1) when downloading, chose NO to import your other browser's bookmarks/favorites and 2) after you download, always chose NO when you open firefox and it asks you to make firefox your default browser (unless you really like firefox and want it to be your default)

Firefox is a free alternative to IE and Netscape browsers. I stick with IE, but I use Firefox as a secondary browser because it don't seem to be affected by all the stuff the others are.

  5. Hi Frank! Welcome to the forums! The nice thing about this format is you can use it simple or take advantage of all the bells and whistles. It is designed for a guy to be able to register and start posting right away or if you are a bit more computer savy, you can play around with all the features and add your own personal touch. One thing I can't stress enough is to use the "My Assistant" link! You will never miss a post if you click "My Assistant" everytime you visit! Hope you enjoy...

  6. I am going to close & pin this topic so everyone can start their own introduction threads. You are invited to reply to another members intro & welcome them to the forums, but please, only one member intro per thread. Tell us a little about you, your truck(s) and any other hobbies you enjoy! Lets get to know everyone...

    Thanks,

    Barry

  7. Don't forget to use the BMT Calendar! There is a link to it at the top right corner of of every page! It is very powerful and easy to use. It will post a reminder 5 days ahead of the specified date in the board statistics area on the front page. You can post all your truck related dates in the calendar. The board automatically adds everones birthdays.

    Keep those old dogs barkin!

  8. The new chat is powered by Java. You need to have Java installed and enabled on your browser. Most of today's chat engines are Java based and most computers are able to view it, but my computer at home is going on 5 years old and for some reason, I can't get the Java loaded in to view the chat room either. I am still working on that, but if you download Java, you should be ok...
