  1. U have to put somethin off the the thermostats to fool the ecm on the temp but ur eng runs a little hotter to. Some detroits are know for blowing head gaskets cuz of it. Not sure bout mack.motots
  2. Dont go off the trucks computer it can be off. Try an app called fuel guages. Its affiliated with lets truck.com u jyst have to fill in the info and it will give u fill up to fill up 30,60,90, lifetime fuel avg's
  3. i do believe its the 460. im glad to hear that they are giving u guys little problem. im finding things that i really like that mack did and very few things i dont like. I think the only thing that i dont like is the two center vents being so lo, id rather have them higher like the freightliners. but i really like how they positioned the filters much easier to get to. Ill be reading up as much as i can on here. do u guys have a schematic of the fuse relay panel thats on the passenger dash? one that is easily readable.
  4. Recently just bought a 2000 vision with all the bells and whistles. I guess it was a nascar hauler then was bought by brian brown racing in des moines IA (casey general stores sponsored sprint car). Housby mack had it on the lot for 29900 but nobody could come up with the cash on account no bank would loan money on a 2000. so i offered 20000 then came up a little to 20750 and got it for that much. only has 583000 miles on it. the fifth wheel looks almost brand new(figure the race team didnt do a lot of drop and hooks) but had to swap it out with a lowpro one to fit my operation so if anybody wants to buy one let me know. i have pix of it. think i got a decent deal on it? Now i dont know much about macks ive been a detroit guy for the last 20 yrs. its gonna be a learning process with these trucks and motors. Im hoping the problems ive seen on here have been taken care of for the most part. i do have the wire schematics for the truck, but not sure which locations corralate to the fuse relay panel behind the passenger dash. ive looked on here but cant seem to find a simple layout of them. the firewall fuse panel is no problems and already been in there checking it out. i was told these e7 motors a really good motors. it has straight pipes on it with a resonator but planning some mods pretty soon. fleet air filter, BIGGER tanks. i think i have 2 100 gal tanks. may be having some 200 gal ones made if they will fit in there. Now if i can find somebody to drive my frieghtliner i'd be set.
