  2. yeah my xjs is a early facelift car, after the tail light and interior changes but before the body colored front and rear bumpers. in the us i think the xjs is a highly under valued car at current. i only paid $2250 for mine granted with some bad paint work and some other minor issues but very solid car. bought it and drove it 2100 miles home. super nice super low millage cars sell 10k with some exceptions +/- and they were a low production car they were made 1975-1996 aprox 120k cars made in that time with about 31k convertibles produced 80k coups and roughly 5k cabriolets ford cranks out more mustangs in a year than jag did for the entire production run of the car. I feel the value of them will go up over time but i have mine because i like it less so than the value of it.

carlot, 300 would have been my next guess looks like the second one has a little rot in the rear 1/4 but both cars look very restorable.

yes the green one is much worse than the other however both are drivable both 383s one has fact air thats the first one for a total redo green one is to follow. also have a third parts car lots of work ahead

  3. nope no paint booth, there is a small amount of inclusion in the paint but nothing a cut and buff wont take care of. iv shot cars outdoors before and still had good results, i pushed pretty late into the night i shot the jams let them dry a few hours un masked everything and re-masked everything and then shot the body all in one day by the time i finished shooting the clear i was having some trouble balancing adequate ventilation and still keeping enough heat in the shop. my the time i shot my final coat of clear i was barely holding 60* inside.

well ok then get the paint mixed heres the other one lol

  4. The fault goes back NIXON who created the EPA and NOAA by executive order in December of 1970 and gave them the power to enact laws and standards with out the approval of any other branch of government. The order was ratified in 1971. Jimmy Carter actually gave the EPA nearly unlimited power over all things affecting the environment and "quality of life" Obama named Gina Mcarthy( former CEO of The Earth Legal Defense Group) to replace former EPA head Lisa Jackson so she could advise the President on all U.N. environmental initiative projects.

sorry guys but the fault lies squarely on us. we were the ones working our asses off making a living and trying to get ahead and not paying attention to what was happening around us . by not doing so we have let the situation get so far out of hand we may never get it back

  5. Yeah, I got my first Craftsman 3/8 ratchet set for Christmas 55 years ago. Worked on everything from lawnmowers and go carts to trucks and a dozen cars at least in between and still working. Never had to replace any of the set.

It's a damn shame the government can't figure it out... Value added manufacturing is the true source of all wealth. Example -

Man "A" mines iron ore, employs hundreds of people to refine it (adds value) and all those people pay income taxes

Man "B" makes the iron ore into steel, employs hundreds of people (adding value) and all those people pay income taxes

Man "C" draws the steel into wire coils, employs hundreds of people (adding value) and all those people pay income taxes

Man "D" forms the wire into bolts, employs hundreds of people (adding value) and all those people pay income taxes

Man "E" assembles bolts and steel sheet and a 1000 other similarly manufactured items into farm tractors (or airplanes, or trucks, or vacuum cleaners)

and a similar story for 1000's of manufactured products. And all those workers employ doctors and dentists and plumbers, and accountants, etc.

But when you tax the living shat out of the employers you can finally, eventually, kill the whole damn thing. Not to mention the non-enforcement of our foreign trade agreements.

Sorry to bloviate. My two cents.

 truer bloviating has never been done
