worked on the towtruck today.

it`s getting worse every time some parts come of.

i think i have to replace some parts of the frame.

hope to find the parts to restore it.

gona take some pictures and post them next time.

it`s myintension to fix it up as a wrecker.

we have saveral b models here in holland but no wreckers.

i showed the truck on the mack day here in holland and everyone liked it.

i also bought a european truck to tow behind it.

but the most of the metal is all rusted to hell so i9t`s gona be a lot of work and a half new truck.

i think it`s gona take a while.

i want to take the whole towing device of the frame and then take the axles and springs of.

the rear axle is all covered up in graese and dirt so i have to power wash it first.

i have to do it outside so i onley can work on it at the weekends and it`s winter now so i don`d know about the wether.

hope to get it don wery soon but i need a fuw days more of cutting it apart.

but it could be posible.

they had to shorten the frame so did have to weld on it.

but they strengthen the frame on the outsite and welded al the parts from the wrecker body to it.

so i was two days bussy with a torch to get it all apart.

try to put some photo`s of me working on it.

it`s a spanish truck.

they used to have a lot of macks in that time.

not onley u models but i saw f models to at the time i was a truckdriver and went to spain alot.

here in the netherlands whe ricived the message from our boss that our renault dealership goos toegether with the volvo dealership.

so renault and volvo in one building.

but it will be renault on the one site and volvo on the other site (he tels us)

it`s a short wheelbase for sure.

it was owned by steyers from saugerties ny.

i bought it tru my frend who imports much macks from the usa.

but there is much more work on the truck then i thought it would be.

but it keeps me of the streets and can`d do stupid things.

i have a r 607 with a 711 engine.

there`s a little whole in the block where the liner gomes in.

it`s leaking coolant between the block and the liner.

let the coolant out and put frech water and wondarweld in it ,let it run for a while til it was at operating temperature and the leaking stopt.

don`t know for how long but for now it`s good.

i bought a b61sx as a spare truck.i needed the fenders and some more sheetmetal.

but it has camelback rears so i can`t use the parts for my single axle towtruck.

need more parts every time i take something appart.

i think the whole truck has to be renewed.

rivets are not the problem.

i first have to take the towing parts of the frame and then rebuild it

the biggest problem is to find some frame and suspension parts.

if you are selling it i`m looking for two thermodyne emblems ant two half bulbogs for my b61 towtruck.

Tom, Thats just the way Mike is, and it is bad buss! I've called many times without a call back, so I just get in my truck and go over there, It's the only way! But then again I'm only 20 min. away from my yard in JC. I've bought some nice stuff from them, like my 67 260 Brockway Navy truck with 38,000 mi and a couple of good motors, also he has a nice B-81 in his yard, but he does not sell a lot of his stuff today but..... tomorrow if you catch him right, he'll sell it !!??

yes mine is a single axle .

want to get it back origional.

so i hope someone has some parts to spent.

need some spring hangers springleaves and wheelclambs for a b61.

will post some pictures if i can get them from my camera.

did some work on my tow truck today.

removed the rear wheels.

cut of the rear fenders.

started to romove the back end of the towingdevice.

it was all weldet together so i had to use a torch.

but the biggest issiu is i ned more parts than i hoped to.

when removing the wheels there were differend wheelclambs left and right.

them my spinghangers from the rear springs are all rusted to peaces.

got some photo`s i`ll try to post.

hope to find the parts i need.
