Hey Mike69mackman
That is a much more enjoyable "inspection" than you thought you were going for! Best of luck getting the truck. And more important, take care of yourself.
ps. With proper credit given to you, I am using your original post as evidence to show my wife what she should be doing to help my antique truck additiction.

They won't give you the specs? That is crazy
Don't worry. One of the guys on here will help. They know everything!

I have used a product called Rust Converter from Gemplers. Have had good luck with it on our farm equipment and p/u truck. As Underdog mentioned, this product also works better if there is a little light rust left on as that is how the reaction takes place. It dries pretty even, but I have recently tried a light sanding over it to get the surface smooth prior to primer and then paint. so far so good on that

Hey Vin
If there is a small part you could bring in to a paint supply shop they may be able to use their fancy computers to match the paint for you. They work through light/optical method and can get pretty close.

-
Darn. I was hoping you would get it this time around

Hey JT
You would look good in that truck. Good luck!

No need fo a kick stand. You run a "4 Up" like in draft horses. Front pair and rear pair
So Vinnie, you need three more and then you can be the East coast "U" model heavy haul mogul!
-
Hey Mike 69 Mackman. Did you get your tanker yet?
-
I believe it has to do with the geometric shape of the gears. I think I have a much more technical explanation in one of the manuals I have. Let me see if I can find it.

Love the dual breathers and the whole stance of the Mack Trident
-
Hey, right FWD. Did not mean to leave you out.
Yeah, what he said. The guys with gas are good....err I mean with gas engines... you know what I mean.
-
Hey Vinnie
Not to worry. I will still come to you for all my "U" model information.
Cool clip Freightrain.
Although I always end up thinking "man someone could have used that hood" or "I bet someone needed that side window glass"

41 Chevy thanks for posting this
WOW!! Now that is a heavy haul load. I would really like to hear that MP10 screaming up the hill
They had a Titan at the Mack Factory tour in Macungie. Pretty cool trucks!

Ha! I finally beat you to it
-
Hey Ben. How do you fill the pump? I am curious to see the procedure and waht all is involved.
-
Oh, it is only a number. Get another Mack and you will feel younger
Happy birthday a couple days early (You too Ben!)

Sorry I did not get to catch up with you guys. My Dad has always wanted to attend the show and really wanted to visit the Mack factory. He has been having trouble with his knee lately and is not able to walk as much as he used to, so I thought I better get him to the factory tour first. By the time we got back, I missed the photo. Always next year. Most of you...err I mean all you guys llok great in the picture.
Better have Yarnall sign the photo now. He is becoming famous with his '50 A-car on the cover of the ATCA "Double Clutch" magazine this month. Good job Mike!
Hey did anyone get some pics of the B8136 sx wrecker?. Of course my camera did not want to coorperate when I tried to snap some photos.

OK, but why the offset cab? (Vinny, I will try to corral this back to a serious U/DM discussion) Rob, et al have already gone awry, so it is probably too late
