  1. Ken-tool makes a tool called the "blue cobra". It isn't cheap by any means but that cute petite blond in high heels and mini skirt, at the last truck show I attended, was flipping tires like no body's business. Yes, I know they were new tires on new rims but she sure made it look a lot easier that what I'm used too. You can check it out on youtube searching "Blue cobra".

  2. Joemac, I would recommend that you go to oldihc.org and ask the question. They have a section of the forum devoted to the D-series with lots of information. I'm sure they can answer your question. You might also go to binderbooks.com and get a D-series service manual.

  3. I could have bought one about 4 years ago for $1,500. It was a long wheel base tandem and I was supposed to go look at it. It was 10 hours round trip and I just couldn't bring myself to drive that far. I sure wish I had made the trip. Don't know what ever happened to the truck.

  4. Beatngu, S/P switches are easy to hook up to batteries. You need to 12V batteries, doesn't matter where you locate them. I assume you have a negative ground system. Positive cable from battery #1 goes to starter. Negative cable from #1 goes to negative on S/P switch. Positive cable on battery #2 goes to positive on S/P switch. Negative cable on #2 goes to the starter.

  5. Again, thanks for the comments. Eastcoastdiesel, be happy to show you the truck. If you get up this way, let me know and I'll put you in the drivers seat and you can take it for a spin. By the way, a late happy birthday.
