  1. Hatcity,   Thanks for taking up the slack for odog.    He must still be on the couch.   Those pictures will definitely  get you motivated.

Paul,   What did you do, drive over to the Hooters in winfall?  Ha!    I think I've seen her dance before.

  2. Dave,   Thanks for the pictures.  Some really nice trucks there.  Have you seen any really neat IH's?   By the way, I watched you pull into the show grounds on the ATHS live feed.  Pretty neat.           Dan

PS  You can email the IH's if you don't want to post them.   Don't want the dog's after me.  Ha!

  3. The paint job was fantastic.  You had to be there to appreciate it.  From the picture all the black on the engine a chassis looks to be pure but when you get close you can see the red mixed in.  It looks similar to metal flake but not in the traditional sense.   I don't know how to describe it.   All of the air lines and wiring had the chrome wire loom.  Did you notice no door handles,  power windows, and power tilt hood ?

  4. Hey Bigdog, I don't have a Mack but if the vent windows are that rare and in demand and you have a really nice set, have you considered getting them reproduced? You would probably do a lot of people a big favor and make some bucks while you're at it. Just a thought.

  5. Don't have first hand knowledge of them because I don't own one and probably never will. I will make a few observations for the heck of it. Stopped by the Ford dealer the other day to pick up a switch for my Ford truck and there was a whole bunch of them there to be repaired. Local telephone company has six of them and a good friend who works for them said that none of the six have all been on the road at the same time. Putting new engines in two right now for melted pistons. My supervisor went thru a two week course on the engine put on by a Ford rep. and his recommendation is to trade it before it goes out of warranty or have really, really, deep pockets when you go have it repaired. Just my two cents worth.

  6. I use "Fresh Cab" from Tractor Supply. It's about $15 for a 4 pouch box. I throw one to two in each cab and haven't seen any evidence of mice in the trucks. I've been using it for a couple of years. I also put out a lot of Decon around the building and they seem to like it.

  7. Who is the expert on the forum for the MT654cr transmission? We just got an M939 in the shop from a volunteer fire dept. with a transmission leak. It is leaking in the rear between the main case and the spacer(?) that connects the rear plate to the transmission. We are wondering if we can repair it without pulling the transmission? We don't have a parts diagram or service manual for the transmission. This will be a first for us and the students. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Dan
