  1. I'm glad that you guys liked the pics. I have all kinds of old scrappin' photos from back in the day, with tons of old cars, and I mean tons! I can post them if you guys would like to see them. I wish I could have kept all of my paps old trucks, it seems like each truck was more awesome than the truck before it. Mark, I have a cummins powered RS700L in my back yard waiting for me to restore it.
  2. Here is a photo of an old B-model, thought you guys might enjoy seeing it. I just found a bellhousing to put a cummins in a b-model, complete with flywheel, pressure plate, what do you guys think it is worth?
  3. Glad you liked it Ben. I wish that truck was still around, it must have been one of the first R700's with a cummins in the area. My pap actually sold that truck to build a Brockway with a 350 cummins, 13 speed and #44,000 mack rears. I will be posting a b-model, scrap hauler photo, here in a minute... if I don't encounter any more technical difficulties, hahaha!
  4. Here is a photo of the first cummins powered mack that my Pap bought. It came with a 250, later he put a 290, and turned it up.
  5. Whats up guys? Sorry that it took me so long to post this pic, I got really busy with finals for college. This is a photo of the A50 when it was in its prime. Hope you enjoy.
  6. Josh, I will post a photo of my truck once I get a cab for it. Do you know of any cabs for sale, cause I need one bad! It looks pretty bad right now, if you want I can e-mail, or private mail it to you. My friend bought the blue b-model a few years ago, and has not done anything with it. I asked him if he would sell me that truck, and he said once I get mine done. I am near pittsburgh. I am looking at a 1974 R700 that my pap used to own, now it has a 3406A cat that is rebuilt, 13 speed and #55,000 rears. I think the guy wants to scrap it so hopefully I can get it before that happens. Ethan
  7. Ben, I was at riggles on saturday. I talked to the "REO Kid" about my RS700L, and about the time that my pap brought home a mercury sleeper for his Dobermans to live in. The sleeper actually sat in my grandmas front yard for many years, until one day some outlaw trucker that was fresh out of prison came and bought it, hahaha! I have photos of that sleeper, one is of my grandma holding a doberman puppy with taped up ears in front of the sleeper. We never had any U-model's, but I might have a photo of one, I will look. Here is a photo of the A50 the night before it went to the scrapyard. I have a photo of it in its prime if you guys are interested? Ethan
  8. Thanks for the warm welcome! I am glad that you guys liked the photo, I have a ton of old macks pics from my family, including an E-model mack wrecker. We had an A50 mack in the back field untill a couple years ago, my pap built a wrecker body on it in the early 1960's, sold it to a friend who abused it for 30 years, then we got it back. My pap wound up scrapping the truck, but I still have the double strength booms that came off of the A50. I actually used the booms this past summer. Here is a photo of the remains of my paps superliner being hauled away. I forget the guys name who bought it, but he hauled it away with a B61 rollback. You can't get much better than that. I actually saw this B61 rollback on the road, and still in service this year while I was on my way to the Riggle & sons truck show in Apollo, Pa. Ethan
  9. I have been a member of BigMackTrucks for awhile now, so I figured it was time for me to start posting some of my mack photos. Here is a photo of the mack that started my mack obsession. The picture was taken years ago, thats me in the drivers seat. The truck belonged to my uncle, it was an RL700 with a 350 mack, air-to-air, 9 speed overdrive, and #38,000 rears, 4.64 ratio. My family has always had macks, mostly R700s and even a superliner with a cummins and a long wheelbase. Hope you guys enjoy the photo. Stay tuned for more, Ethan
  10. Josh, your truck is turning out great. I really like the color combo. I have a 1977 RS700L with a cummins, 13 speed, and #44,000 rears. Where in pittsburgh did your truck originally reside? Did you ask about a blue B-model dump truck, with a tilt hood, that was in pittsburgh a while back? I might be able to get you a photo of that b-model...
  11. That truck is totally different than anything you see out there today, from what I hear it was actually built years ago by a guy named "Pokey" Hoadwonic, he hauled steel with that truck in western PA, hauling from mill to mill. It would be cool to see a photo of it when it was first built.
