  1. Pa is pretty lax about it. Just about every tri axle is straight piped Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Looking for some help guys, trying to figure out the best way to straight pipe the 2004 CV713 I run, just has the muffler outside the cab, looks like the one underneath the cab was already deleted. Has anyone done this? What exactly do I need? No I'm not putting a heat shield back on, just looking for a cheap way to make some noise. Yes I'm young and like the noise Thanks for any suggestions! 3. I'm out of Lehigh county, I couldn't imagine doing anywhere in Philadelphia. I'm gonna buy a rig and sub contract for the state next year instead of working here lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Both companies I work for... Mostly.. S&G asphalt is a fleet of 6 Mack's. 2 granites 4 rds PennDOT is mainly Mack except for a few new internationals (which are nothing problems) Problem is the dot trucks don't have much power, they are stock 375-425s In the granites and the e7 350s in the older RDs (I will be buying one at auction these year) They are all run live PTO so that cuts down on fuel mileage and cuts horsepower a good 30hp Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. We don't have them in Lehigh county, nor do we want them.
  6. Hey guys, just in from a 12 hr shift. They are calling 4-6" Tomorrow , so hopefully will have better pics with more snow it
  7. Hey guys, finally got an updated truck, finally out of that 7 speed 300hp RD. now I'm in this 04 CV, 200,000 miles, 13 speed 427hp
  8. . They are putting the brine tanks between the body and cab like they new internationals. Makes sense. Suprising it's automatic, word was we were going back to manual Mack's with the new contract

  12. I'd have some to share, I took a lot, but my old phone fell in the snow and took a shit on me. Lost some 1500 pictures. Next winter I will for sure. I can't go crazy posting because you can get in some trouble for using the phone whe driving. Especially working for the government. Lol
  13. It is, hills and curves suck, especially with a single axle truck, they slide like crazy. I love seeing snow fly off the plow. Awesome sight lol
  14. PennDOT throws that stuff down and scrapes it back up as a way of enhancing pothole development. This practice ensures job security in the warmer months. The pretreatment? It's salt water
  15. No, but there IS a Tilted Kilt in Allentown, literally 5 minutes from the Museum!!! Yeah on Lehigh street right off the 78 exit
  16. I'm looking at the same thing. Allentown pa region. People always talk me down. But go for it! You can run NY and NEPA. money IS there. Get a cheaper truck. Steel body and a triaxle are what company's are looking for. Going rate is $75 an hour. 7 working months and that's right around 100k gross. Take out a truck payment, insurance, taxes, fuel, Maintenance and your at 40-50k net. Call big hauling companies, they are always looking for subs. Most require 3 years experience in hauling and or paving. Mostly paid once per month. So have some $$$ before hand while waiting for that first check.
  17. Hey guys, I'm a young guy new here, I work for PennDOT in winter and an asphalt company the rest of the year. Here's a few pics I have from This past winter. ðŸ‘ðŸ‘
