  1. I'm in the process of switching from tube type split rim to tubeless radials. I found six 22.5 x 8.25 used rims in good shape. There is a truck tire shop close by that will mount the tires if bought from him or $40 each if not. I haven't priced tires so I'm not sure if it pays to buy online or cash and carry vs  through a shop. I do know when you see the price of one tire and multiply by 6 it adds up quick.

  2. Larry, I hear you. I'm looking to go from bias to radial. The ones I have now (Firestone bias/tubes) date back to the early 90s. Look good, hardly any wear, no cracks or dry rot. Prices I have seen are from $400s all the way up to $700. Of course I need wheels, etc too.

  3. Update. I got the part and it is exactly the same as the old one. The one thing I didn't realize is these parts are one direction. The first attempt at installing the compressor came within about about 1/16" of tightening up. First thing I thought is the gears are not clocked so second attempt same thing. Something told me to flip the spacer and lo and behold it fit as it should. Just like the old saying "third time is the charm".  When hooking up the lines there is a small crack in the discharge fitting. I was able to locate one and am now waiting for it to come. I'll try the picture of the old part again. No luck again.

Had that pop up on my Google feed too. It's forsale on Facebook Marketplace for 9,500.

I knew I had seen it somewhere recently. I think there is a video of the truck and a matching trailer.

  5. I have a Garrison hydraulic assist unit on '60 B that was easy to install and works good. I just had the unit and cylinder rebuilt by Power Brake X Change in Pittsburgh. Both had leaks but worked fine. Not long after getting the truck I was lucky enough to find the complete PS set up not far from home.

  6. I saw it on our local news last evening. They said it was a Sheetz tanker. That is a straight stretch of road with lots of crazy traffic. I agree on maybe medical or maybe someone cut him off. Sad for the driver and his family.
