  1. I pulled them off my motor that spun a rod bearing. I had them magnafluxed so none of them are cracked. $750 a piece no core charge.
  2. I'll probably fix the crank and put it in my other MH. I've about decidied against selling any parts.
  3. 4 Mack E9 Heads for sale.
  4. Pulled the pan off that E9 found out it spun #6 Rod Bearing.
  5. Pulled heads off motor today actually. All four look good aint no dropped valves or bent push rods like I was told. I tried to turn motor over but I couldn't so there's probably a spun bearing in the bottom end. I aint took the pan off yet. What would you offer me for them heads?
  6. I'm not sure to be honest the man just told me 900. That seemed a little steep for rebuilding and turning right around and selling them I might just let them go and not worry with rebuilding them.
  7. I called them and they said it would be about $900 per head to rebuild at Francis.
  8. Skip I appreciate the input I agree a mans only got one name, you need to keep a good name if your gonna be in the part sellin and truckin business. Yea 84 Superdog I agree with you, you might as well do somethin right the first time especially dealing with E9s. Do you have any ball park figures on what them boys at Franciss engineering would charge to rebuild them heads? I know it would vary because of parts for each head but I was just lookin for ball park figures? Thanks Miller
  9. I'm going to have the heads rebuilt next week and have them on here for sale along with the fuel pump in the next couple weeks.
  10. I've been around E9's long enough to know the blocks are worth more than any $100.00.
  11. Let me get back to you on that. I'm gonna take them heads and fuel pump first of March to have them looked at and see what they need.
  12. Push rods was what I was told. But I haven't got around to tearin the motor down and seein for myself yet.
  13. I was told that the motor was bending push rods and thats why it was takin out but I'm still gonna tear it down and have the pump and the heads rebuilt and also check block for cracks. I've heard different reasons from a couple people have you had any dealins with an E9 bending rods?
  14. No sir there aint no truck attached to the motor. Engine was takin out of a 83 Super Dawg man told me he was replacing the ol E9 with an old Catawiller. I'm taking the heads and having all four completely rebuilt also I'm getting the fuel pump gone completely through. I'm thinking on selling them aint made my mind up yet. I believe in these ol E9's all I've ever been around.
  15. Nothin that I know of I'm tearin the motor down to make sure the block aint cracked before I sell it. I aint gonna sell anybody a cracked block.
  16. Well I've got an E9 I'm parting out. Just wondering what the block was worth. Any input would help me out alot thanks. Miller85
