  1. Looking for a nice usable hood for an 84 R685T. The hood must be 54 1/2 inches long from the edge at the cab (cowl) to end of nose inorder to accomadate the chassis mounted charge air cooler (CAC). Prefer to be loacated with in 200 miles of Hagerstown, Md. Thanks Doug

  2. I brought the 52 home today. Upon closer inspection it turns out the paperwork I had listed the wrong chassis number for the truck. The SN for my rig is 75A-1028, not 1029 as I had been told. So, Ray you are correct, 75A-1029 is most probably located in SC.

Now I guess I'll have to fight with DMV about the incorrect numbers on the paperwork.

About 8 years ago I looked at a Richmond A model (unlettered at the time) that was owned by Neil Furlow in Cumberland, Md (owner of the International garage). I am not sure what the serial number was and if he still owns the rig now or not? Maybe the one I looked at is the one you currently own??? His business address and phone # are below. Give him a call.

  3. I only have a hood leftover, All the rest went to scrap.

The doners were not in good shape when I got them, bad engines, junk drivelines and bad cabs.

I cut the cab top off of one and cloned to my cab.

The other gave up dash parts, door hinges and headliner.

    Thank you,

    Jeff

    Thanks anyway Jeff

Great looking early R! I have a 67 R685T that is in the process of going in the shop for resto. Would appreciate talking to you sometime. Would you have any leftover parts from the 2 parts trucks that you may want to sell?

  5. 64C85:

I was in Hagerstown two years ago. Isn't Hagerstown now home to

    Volvo Powertrain Division?? Just askin'.

Yes it is Volvo Powertrain North America...But for this site and people that are from Hagerstown its still MACK Powertrain.

  6. Still in search of a 1964 C85F (Chassis C85F-1309) as well as a 1955 B-Model Pumper that served formerly with the Bridgeton, NJ Fire Department. I have scoured the internet, and have had no luck with firephotos, pics, etc. The last known area these trucks may have been was Kansas City MO. I am told after they were traded in 1995 to Pierce MFG., a man named Denny Pressler (now deceased) purchased them, as he ran a small used apparatus business. We are in search of these two, and anyone that could provide some help, I'd greatly appreciate it! The C85 was originally gas, and was converted to diesel by the City here. It was an open cab as well, with an 85' Aerial (believed Maxim). They were both in very good condition when they were traded, so its unknown if they are department owned now, or private (most likely). Any ideas on finding them?????

Hang in there...someone out there knows were there at! Its just a matter of time. BTW...My 64 C85F is serial #1307.

  7. Any body know where you can buy a replacement sealed beam bulb for the front factory flasher on a CF. Also are there differant colors available?

I've been able to get all my bulbs at NAPA for my 64 Mack C85F. Give them a try.
