A friend of mine did his whole Pete with Dynamat. He has loud exhaust and you can barley hear it in the cab. He also say it keeps it cooler inside.

And on my last issue from last year it told me I had to renew or I wouldn't get it anymore. I forgot to do it and I still got mine in the mail, lol

A friend of mine's friend has a farm in Harvard. He found the Grubsteakers sign in his field way up there. Along with tons of clothes.

Is this like what they use at the dealer? I just got a '12 CHU and was thinking about trying to find something like this so I don't have to go to the dealer all the time. And would love to be able to reprogram my Mdrive when I wanted.
How much are they?

With Fairdale being in the news for most unfortunate reasons this week it reminded me that I had a picture of an R-model six wheeler
that I took that used to be parked in Fairdale. The truck has been missing now for a few months bud had been sitting there for a couple
years. I guess it was spared the fate of getting swept away. As it looks from the coverage on the news everything that was around this
truck is gone. There is a gravel pit just on the back side of town that I occasionally pull some loads from and I guess the scale house
is gone and they just pulled all the conveyors out of the hole and set them up top so the trucks no longer had to drive in the hole. On
Friday morning they finished all the electric to the conveyors and from what I heard they all were toppled over. I came across a picture
of Grubbsteakers out at 64 & 251 that was also leveled. Myself, Al, and a few other guys would meet there for breakfast on our way
out to Mt. Morris before our ATHS meeting. My sister sent me a picture of the Tornado passing to the northwest of her place. About
as close as I need to be to one.
I wondered what happened to that 6 wheeler also. I know years ago I asked the guy how much he wanted and it was like $23,000. Way more then it was worth.
I'm still in shock of how bad the destruction was. I just drove through Fairdale the night before. BJ was saying that I guess Wagner's had all their paperwork in the scale house also. And can't rember what size, maybe 24', container they used for storing stuff was missing and not sure where it went.

What year did they switch to the 4 valve?

Are you gonna restore the one you just got? I would love to see them both restored.

Think I posted the wrecker a few months back in a thread about tow trucks. It is a homeade BCR (B-81 series engineered and built by Todd Steffenhagen). Mattb & Vinnie nailed it! The maroon & white R belonged to the late Albert Baillargeon,a nice old fellow who loved his bulldogs. Had a small fleet of them. Sadly,Al died behind the wheel of his CH at the corner of 59 & 173 in Antioch, after leaving Thielens with a load. He had a massive heart attack and was gone before the truck came to rest in front of the Walgreen's.Nice old timer that WAVED to every truck (like we used to). Al
This is why I love this page. You guys know so much and I love learning about it.

It's for sale again. I tried to buy it from Randy, but was a day late, worse part about it it's been painted.
I just don't understand some people. It's a piece of history. Don't go changing it.
I hope you can maybe get that one also.

Attended Mr. Celli's wake on Wednesday afternoon. I thanked his sons (and daughter) for the contributions he made to the trucking industry. The inroads he made in bulk cement hauling(in general) and the use of short trailers in Illinois, were just 2 of his many accomplishments. He was an innovator, thinker, humanitarian, businessman, and all-around good guy & friend to many. I can't count the times I would hear a guy say,"Yeah,I started at Celli......bought one of those old B models from him......it blew up on me (here's where I thought I'd hear the bad stuff).......but Eugene worked with me,fixed my truck and got me back running in no time....I have nothing bad to say about the guy". I am going to keep in touch with his son Carlo, and hopefully get some nice copies of the many pictures they had taken over the years. Al
That was great you were able to attend and be able to talk to his family AL. Hope you are able to keep in contact with the family.

Mackdaddy what Mack dealer do you go to
I was at CIT Rockford when I got the magazine. That's where I normally go. Though I was also at CIT Greayslake yesterday and they had some there also.

Geske's in Crystal Lake IL had one that they cut the rearends off and used the power train to power the plant. I heard Randy Griebel bought it from them, but then sold it. I never got a chance to go see it. That is an awesome find.

I used tractor paint from Farm & Fleet. I used the spray cans on the rims and suspension. Then used a brush and roller on the rest of the trailer. These are before and after when I did it. It's been two years and still holding up good. I just hand sanded the trailer. Next time I think I will soda blast it.

We call them "Johnny Bars" out here.
My '12 has the stupid dummy setup where it won't hold when you pull it down. I'm in the process of figuring out a way to modify the setup.
