Looks a little scary the way the crane is picking those two pallets up.

I have only been there one day. We hauls three loads in there and was in and out with no wait. Though I guess not many people go in there the day after Thanksgiving, lol

Are the Builder trucks any relation to Orange Crush (Polumbo). The frame color and numbers on the bumper look similar.
Yes. Palumbo/Orange Crush owns them.

Saw you this morning on 80 just east of 55. You were EB and I was WB. Right where that grey DOT Tahoe was sitting in the middle. Lookin good!!!!!!

Can you still order a new CH axle forward with the large Mack logo as on the red CH.
I believe you still can. If not, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to order up that grill and put it in a new one.

First time they let us haul 32% out of Peru.
Thought this was a cool pic with the two Macks. Should call this the Dog House, lol
My friend Jim owns the burgundy, or what ever color you want to call it, '97 CH. Has over 1,200,000 miles on it. E7 454 with 13spd. He bought it used in '00 I think with 200,000 plus miles on it. He said in 5,000 miles he will have put 1,000,000 on it himself. He takes really good care of it.

They should be given to all owners for free at this point. Vibrating has been an issue all the way back to the first Visions that used those mirrors and is still an issue 15 years later. Bad enough that the problem hasn't been corrected, but then they want to rip the customers off on those clips.
Any type of makeshift fix restricts to movement of the mirror, which is a problem in my case since I share a truck with another driver. Fortunately mine are still rigid, but the truck has only 120k miles on it, so I figure it's just a matter of time.
I was thinking the same thing. I'd this has been a known problem, why hasn't it be addressed with the newer trucks?
And the to charge that much money. I might be looking into how much it will cost to go back to the old style.

Those guys are really gifted artists.

The pictures are not the greatest. There are 4 clips in the mirror and somehow it keeps them from vibrating, but the mirror still can be adjusted. Though they could only put the outer two on the passenger side cause for some reason with all four in it would bind up when trying to adjust them. Though those two are keeping it from vibrating.I've never seen the clips. How do they attach to the mirror?
I guess those clips are $20'a piece. Thankfully I didn't have to pay for them.

jive's shop is on 171 in Lockport, but he might come to you if you have a shop. bendi is also top notch. jive did mine (see above). this black kw is all hand lettered and striped by rick bendi. now that I really look at the picture, I don't think the kw was done when I took the picture - I know there is some cool striping on the hood, but it isn't there in this pic
All of that is hand painted?

So my mirror clips came in, to help them from vibrating, and had CIT Rockford put them on today. Thankfully CIT Troy where I bought the truck from was paying for it cause the clips alone where $330. So then when I was done had to head to Kirkland to pick up,the tank and start hauling fertalizer. after I got hooked up I headed out and didn't even get one mile out of town and the freakin mirror went flying off the truck. While I was driving I had a county sherif on my butt so when I pulled over he pulled over with me. He was actually really cool. He went back to get the mirror for me and it was destroyed. The funny thing was he told me if I had problems at the dealership he had it all on his dash cam and to call him, lol. I shouldn't asked him to send me a copy of it, lol. So then I had to go back up to CIT and thankfully they had another mirror. I told the mechanic that he was gonna get the 7 years bad luck since he is the one that didn't fix it right in the first place. Lol
I sure hope this isn't how the rest of the season is gonna go.
But saw some mixers at the dealership while I was there.
Then me hooked to the tank.

as far as I know, Bill "jive" Jarvis still does lettering and pinstriping. He is getting up there and it takes him a while but it's better than stickers anyday in my book. he did mine about 4 years ago. Rick Bendi still does does it too.
I'm still trying to decide what im gonna do for lettering. Where is his shop?

Here is an R model that belonged to Bergman Trucking of Palatine.Looks to me like a '79 or so. Rich Johnson lettered this one also..............
That is a beautiful truck. And I love the hand painted logo and pinstriping. Is there anyone around doing that anymore?

Yesterday in Sycamore I saw an Ozinga truck but looked like it had I different name on the door. Was too far away to see what it said.Today I actually had to go to Roscoe Ready Mix to pick up a couple loads of "special" golf course sand, and it is confirmed. Ozinga did
buy Roscoe. They have a help wanted sign out and Ozinga stickers on all the "usable" mixers. I think they have at least one old mixer
from every company in northern IL. They even had an old Material service Brigadier converted into a six wheeler. They had a heck of a
boneyard. Also saw the Slaughbaugh services RD today and as I worked my way back east I saw a square headlight Value Liner that
looks like the one that was for sale on 12 in Wauconda awhile back. Looks like Ozinga is taking over. If I see candy cane stripes on the
orange & white trucks from Marengo they'll have everybody
edit: Before I forget, Ozinga only bought the mixers from Roscoe, not the pits or dump trucks, Those are still Roscoe.
Funny thing is I drove by Super Mix in Belvidere today and took these pics. I didn't see any Ozinga signs up though. I like that they still have an RD.
