  1. I will probably look at repairing the shutters this winter. All the parts are there, but when the truck was sitting for a while someone thought it a good idea to take a bat to them and bend them up good so now they are bound up. Thanks for the responses.
  2. Part of the reason I'm sure is the truck is never worked hard at all. Usually bobtail or pulling a light trailer. Runs fine ,took it out on a 90+ degree day and still doesn't get above 120. I'll check for a thermostat, could also possibly cover part of the radiator.
  3. I have a 63 B61, Thermodyne. Engine temp never gets warm enough to even register on the Guage. Checked with a infrared tester, about 120 after a long drive. Shutters are stuck open, bent so would need to replace them to get working. Is this doing damage, wear to the engine? Have not pulled thermostat yet, might have been removed. Thanks for any advice
  4. I just received a headliner from Quiet Ride and am trying to fit the pieces. Have nothing to go by since truck had no interior. These 3 pieces can't figure a place for.
  5. If you had a pn of the kit that would help me out a lot
  6. Thanks for the help. I haven't had a chance to look at it closely yet. Pretty good drip.
  7. Found out by routing around it to get it home I also was taking out the pump to supply the engine. I should have figured that but on the side of the road it didn't register
  8. Hand primer leaking on my 63 END673. So to get home I bypassed it, line from tank directly to secondary fuel filter inlet. Truck ran for about 5 minutes, quit on the side of the road. Put it back the way it was, started right up, still leaking of course. Am I missing something on the fuel system flow? Thanks
  9. I have not checked the screen. If it has one I will take a look. I've thought of going to spin on filters, I will have to look into what is involved in changing over.
  10. My 63 Thermodyne on start up takes a good 20 seconds or more to show pressure on the guage. After that holds 30 lbs at idle . Has the remote filter housing, full flow I believe. 3 lines to it. Is there a check valve not working possibly? Or just the way they are? This is with 15 40 oil, 60 degrees outside. Thanks
  11. Still working on my B61. Interior painted and seats redone in original material. Frame painted, front fenders painted. New 22.5 tires and wheels. Gonna leave can as is for now
  12. Thanks, sorry for the late reply. It was the rear cab mount, cab was repaired there in the past. Rewelded and replaced mount, much better now. Thanks for the help
  13. The 63 B61 Thermodyne, 20 speed,I just got running has a noise / squeak I can't figure out. Put in this forum because I'm not sure where it's from. Engine running, either stick in or out of gear, moving or not. Get louder when moving, mostly in cab. And the wierd part, gets less when I'm sitting in the seat when not moving. Not from the engine, thinking maybe a cab or trans mount? Clutch in or out, no difference.
  14. My latest project. Sat for many years, got it running well. Painted interior original color, seats out getting redone original. Now trying to decide to strip and paint exterior or leave as is.
  15. Still have it. And yes its under direct over aux stick Then main then the 4 speed stick
  16. Here are some more pics of the truck.
  17. Was out of town for a while . Sorry about not replying. It is a twin screw. I will measure the frame to get the length. Not sure on the next project. Something to keep me busy. If anyone had an interesting trade that might work too.
  18. Thinking of selling my 64 B755 and starting a new project. Bought the truck a year ago or so, pics of it when I bought it on on the site.Solid cab, had some rust in floor which I repaired. Has a 262 Cummins , runs great. Oil analysis good. Quad with 3 speed Aux.236 inch wheelbase New 22.5 Michelin Front tires, 10x22 drivers. Good tread Some weather checking on rears. Air slide 5th wheel, Jake Brake. Drive it a few times a week. Drives great, does 70+ but I keep it 55-60 usually because of the rear tires. Brakes good, steering tight, would pass DOT with new rear tires. All lights, heat ,wipers all work. Located in central Minnesota. Looking to get around 6500 for it.
  19. Pulled the radiator yesterday. Info was right on. Thank you both. Now to find a place in Mn to get it recored.
  20. Thanks again for the info. Ill probably tackle the job this weekend .
