I was out driven the 8V71 tonight, and it does sound great. I think to improve the sound I am going to make it a dual exhuast- kind of rare for a Hahn firetruck, but that way I enjoy it in stereo!

My Mack MH has a Mack rebuilt E6, it has 90 Lbs oil pressure at 2200 rpm, 30 lbs at idle.
I can check the book later today , but sounds about right.

Nice Looking CF, I always liked the black over Red. Stick or Automatic?
Don't forget to drain the pump and Tank in this cold weather.

How about posting and picture, The B model doesn't have any rubber on the tow eyes or trim , but we might be able to help if you post a picture of what you have.

You can put four turbos on that engine if you make sure the crank and bearings are Ok. The marine E9 version put out 1000Hp. Lots of tractors at the tractor pulls have the E9 putting out more than 1000Hp.

They real alright, Silicone boobs don't move like that because they make them tight to stand up. I suggest we find more video and possibly where she might be available to demo them for us.

1951 Mack L95 Firetruck
673 Mack Diesel low miles (less than 10000 miles since installed)
5 speed Mack Transmission
1250 Gallon Hale Pump
Clean truck, in service until 2009. Truck served at Radnor Fire Company, Wayne Pa from 1951 to 1969. Sold to Rossville Gerogia in 1969, served Rossville GA from 1969 to 2009, they updated the engine to a 673 Diesel and 1250 pump in 1969. Truck runs great will drive anywhere. Minor surface rust on radiator surround, no rust on body or compartments.
Truck is currently in Alabama and would like to see it move back to Pennsylania or other state close to original home.

The H67 is sold, and has new home in Atlanta Georgia, returning to the South where it lived most of its life.

MackID22,
Check out one of the projects from some of the guys on here that took a Mack B85 Firetruck and totally updated it and made it into a a great tow tractor. They bought a used school bus with a IH DT466 engine and trans (available cheaply) and did a really nice job. Here is an example of a neat E model firetruck chopped and channeled and has all new drivetrain.

Got my own door story-
Back in the day- hauling air freight with a brand new 1980 IH Transtar II- I was backing into a loading dock with a 27 footer. Stopped, got out-opened the doors and hooked the door latch back on the side on the trailer, got back in started backing up, and the flex on the trailer moving over the uneven parking lot let the right door loose, it swung right around and was inside the building when I first saw it, too late to stop , so just left it there while I unloaded, Needless to say the guys at the terminal thought I was one lucky son of gun that it didn't take the door right off! And of course i was glad I didn't have to explain that to my dispatcher.

Bigen,
I know from all of us here- we all hoped for the best, but knew this day was coming, so we all are very sorry for you and hope that the memories of your years together will be there to help you through this difficult time.

Leversole,
I remember that they are welded to the dash panel and then screwed to the gloxe box door.
I think you can still buy a set from Matt Pfahl for $35.

I am holding the sign, 2nd to right next to Barry. Met the famous Rob - he was there later that day- better late than never- he had heard about the Superliner row so hightailed it out, and there were a few RL's also.
There were 3 MH's at the show, and met lots of BMT members and their trucks.
Great show again this year!
Thanks to Gerhardts for hosting and everyone that helped make it happen,

Convoyduel,
I saw a L model recently that had a 673 and looked like it used the same motor mounts so think it should drop in.

Brush and roller for the Cornbinder- who would notice- pretty close to the original paint anyway!
