  1. Would be nice if Scania could build a conventional truck with US spec with a 730 Hp V8. Since Volkswagen owns it, would be nice to get on the market here. The good things, there is a dealer network for engines thru the USA.

  2. How is it going to impact the trucking industry with increase of insurance cost and higher cos of equipment and low  freight rates. It looks the little guys are going to be pushed out.

  3. I tought maybe to go back in hauling aviation equipment or engines. Yes correct I see the reefers biz going to hell in a hand basket and that's why I sold everything. To many big companies taking it cheap and expect you to do it for even less. Back in the day I was ok in the aviation biz hauling  engines and support equipment and got good paid loads.  Heck with. Oversized engine you couldn't run at night so you go your sleep.

  4. True but still you see drivers try to pass with 1km difference on flat road or specially on a hill. They have the power but the speed limiter prevent to pass. My family runs a trucking company out of Holland on daily routes to Swiss and see it often happening that trucks try to pass but it takes forever. That's when inpatient drivers try to pass and created dangerous situations

  5. This make my laugh! When I start driving a truck I went north, south any where there was a road or some times not.  So Friday I got a guy come in looking for a truck driving job. So looked up his licens and all ok, agreed with my pay off  $0.50 pm and then he said. I don't go to California, New York , New Jersey  and  Chicago.  These are the routes we run and make me a little money.  Where are the good old times people are happy to do the job where ever you send them🙄
