looks like you peel the paint with a pressure washer, would be easy to redress in a spring dress

A hand valve (Trolly Brake, Johnson Brake or Johnny Bar) is fitted on the steering column or the instrument panel so the driver can apply the trailer service brakes independent of the towing vehicle’s brakes. When the hand valve and brake pedal are used at the same time, the trailer will receive the higher pressure. Using the brake pedal or hand valve sends air pressure through the trailer service line. This will activate the brake lights also, that is why I asked if the lights come on with johnny bar applied, if it does then you have to track down that issue if it does not come on then it is probably the switch or connection.

aka trolly handle, depends where your from, the switch is plumbed into the brake treadle valve should be near it some where close under the truck it should look something like this

do the lights come on with the johnny bar? if not look at the brake switch

Join the rest of us. Just because you take a day off doesnt make you lazy, it's a nationally observed holiday. Thanksgiving Christmas and New Years are the 3 days a year that we don't work. There are a bunch of halfassed holidays but I think those 3 should be recognized and celebrated accordingly. That said I completely understand your frustration and hope 2013 brings you better luck.

To me the most important holidays in order are 4 July Independence Day, 11 November Veterans Day, 25 November Thanksgiving, 25 December Christmas Day

anything loose in the drive line can cause vibration and depending on how much movement can increase the vibration from mild to severe hop/bounce, from what I have learned, studied and come to understand, sometimes a drive line can balance itself out so that is why it is found at certain speeds or RPMs, like when you drive on concrete roads when you get a certain speed the truck will bounce on the suspension because of harmonic frequencies when you speed up it it stops or when you slow down because of the change. Loose or worn parts contribute to this and it also can cause fatigue and wear out other parts.
