  • Description I bought this Magnum in Sept 1987 in Versailles, Oh. It was a repo with 50,000 miles on it. As of this posting it is still running great. I run 2,000 mi every week on a dedicated run from Sharon, Pa to North East, Pa twice a day. The truck now has 1,855,000 mi on it. I overhauled the engine once in March 1996 when she had 758,000 on the odometer. If you do the math you will find there are 1,100,000 on the overhaul. She only uses 2.5 to 3 gal of oil between changes every 25,000 miles. Be glad to answer questions or send pics to anybody who wants them. There is no other engine in the world like a V-8 Mack. I'll never own anything else.

Mate,

Smick rig! I agree with you on the V8 matter - V8 Macks are the best trucks in the world bar none!

Incredible that you have that many miles and still use only 2.5- 3 gallons per oil change. I bet that V8 sounds so sweet!
