Wiscopipehauler Posted yesterday at 12:15 PM Share Posted yesterday at 12:15 PM Hey all, I took off my power steering pump to fix a leak that looked like it was coming from in between the power steering pump and the air compressor. There’s a little coupler that connects the two to each other, the power steering to coupler had an o ring in the machined groove on the coupler, but there was no o ring on the machined groove on the coupler to air compressor side. It didn’t look like there’s a seal inside the air compressor, all I see is a bearing, is there not suppose to be a seal for the compressor? Is it just the power steering that should be sealed? Please explain how these are supposed to seal, thanks in advance! Solution Joey Mack Posted yesterday at 02:30 PM Solution Share Posted yesterday at 02:30 PM with 2 orings. or a football gasket on the steering pump side and an o-ring on the compressor bearing side. oil will be inside the coupling housing, but wont leak out if the 2 orings or gasket and oring is in place.
