Question

Posted (edited)

Need further assistance with my truck shutting down on hot days. Antifreeze, diesel, timing sensor on diesel pump,  Speed sensor were all swapped new. Cables connected to speedometer and diesel pump were reinsulated since it would shut off when shaking them. (Scanner indicated that was the issue) but didn’t fix the issue. Truck doesn’t over heat nor low on coolant when it shuts off. Mechanic is now saying diesel pump but even he isn’t sure.

Is it not picking up fuel?  If so,  how about looking at the fuel delivery line. It may be breaking down inside and clogging the flow if fuel.

Not sure I’ll pass this down and see what they find. Thank you
