Packer Posted July 9, 2005 Share Posted July 9, 2005 Been looking over my "new" 1948 EG Mack and noticed that it has a Reo overhead valve 6 cyl. engine. The carb appears to be the same as my 401cu flathead. Anyone have info on 'Reo' engines? truxnut Posted July 10, 2005 Share Posted July 10, 2005 Yep you are 100% corect it ain't stock, there was a repower sometime. If I remember right the REO OHVs didn't come out untill the early 50s.
