EM6 300 with American Bosch 6bb-110t need little more power.

Question

I have a 1973 r model with a 1977 ends-676 em6 300. I’m wanting to get a little more power out of for hauling. I read about turning the fuel up a little and they said to take the 6 bolts off the cover on the back of the pump. Mine has the American Bosch 6bb-110t pump and it only has 5 bolts on the cover. I can only get the cover off about a 1/8 of a inch and it won’t come off. Am I doing the right thing? I just don’t want to break anything in it. Also any other suggestions on getting some more power would be great! Thanks in advance.

There's 6 bolts ...one of them has a seal over it. You'll have to dig the seal away and under it there's a 12 point head I believe it's 12 anyway. You'll need a special socket for it. Good luck

Ok I seen a metal plug but wasn’t for sure. Like I said I didn’t want to break anything. I seen a few post about loosening the slide plate and moving back but have not found any images for reassurance. Every time I find where someone sends a link to explain how to do it it either say it doesn’t exist anymore or it’s a dang add that comes up. I’m not wanting anything extreme just a little more power for the hills. I have some wiggle room for my egts so figured I would give her a little more. I appreciate your answer and will give it a try here in a bit. Thanks!!!
