cucucrazy Posted January 24, 2014 Share Posted January 24, 2014 So here my problem in my 1999 Mr688s E7 350In the Mornings I turn on the night switch, unlock the doors get in put my foot on the clutch and turn on the motor.Runs Fine, Idles at 700 rpm.Then (and only sometimes) it idles up to around 1200 rpm then goes back to 700 rpm then back up.when it is up at 1200 rpm i can use the cruise control to bring it back down, but sometimes it goes back up lol , its only does this a few times then its fine. i should also note that when it is up at 1200 rpm, even if i depress the clutch the idle speed remains at 1200 rpm and it is only when i use the cruise control to bring it down, or leave it and it does it its self.its only just started this problem.what should i try or can anyone thing of anything this maybe.Thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I've seen trash trucks with high idle switches wired in the cab, left front of body, and right rear of the body, maybe a shorted switch?
