fireguyneil
At some time Mack built a Cab Over Engine chassis that used the same cab that would later become the Ford C Series cab over. I am thinking this was in the early sixties and possibly from 1958 to 1963. Can anyone confirm this?
jakebrake86
I'm not sure on the years they were produced, but yes, the truck you're talking about is an N model, I believe. Quote Jake
kscarbel
Yes, Mack produced the N-model. Both Mack, Ford and FWD purchased the same cab from the Budd company (with minor trim differences).Mack ran one themselves in Allentown. Great cab, proven chassis. But you're mistaken in thinking the Ford C-Series arrived after the Mack N-model. The Ford C-Series was produced from 1957 to 1990. Of course, the Mack N-model was the better truck.Mack N Series.pdf
Bobby Covert
Didn't the Budd company build the cab?
